RIP OJ

I was referring to the "peace" part.
He did some good things and some very bad things. For those that think the bad outweighs the good, they get the peace now knowing that he can't do more bad things nor continue to do ahole moves like writing fiction "If I did it".

Everyone conveniently forgets about him beating a sports collectible seller to within an inch of his life in a Vegas hotel room.

I was never a big OJ fan and didn't follow the criminal or civil trials closely, but I was sold on "If the glove doesn't fit, you must acquit". Can anyone explain how he was found not guilty of the murders, yet liable for their deaths?

Criminal trial is beyond reasonable doubt for conviction. Civil trial is balance of probability. That's a much lower bar.

Criminal requires ‘beyond a reasonable doubt’.

Civil doesn’t.

I loved those movies.

"Oh, hi Frank. Say, we finally got that model D83 Swedish sure-grip suck machine that you ordered!"

This is an interesting interview with one of his lawyers:

Coles notes, lawyer had no comment on did he or didn't he, the prosecution failed at the trial due to fabricated police evidence (he gives specific examples--"framed" is a bit of click bait IMO) and general incompetence (examples again), public opinion was divided along racial lines, he was also a bad client that did not follow his lawyers' advice post trial...

For contact sport athletes that end up making similar (give or take of course) bad life choices, I wonder how many have/had CTE and how many are/were just ######.

I don't think the world will miss him.
