Desjardins just increased my premium over and above the Ajusto discount I earned. I'm going to lose the money I saved and more if I don't fire them immediately. Beware.
I got $75 back then right after they raised me $65 per month. That's $780/y. $780 is more than what my bike costs. I was happy for a few years but it's time to go shopping again. Seems I fire my insurance company every 3 years for exactly the same reason.
My 2005 FZ1 is 695/year. Desjardins is raising me to 801 in December. I think the most I ever paid was around 120/mo 10 years ago. I'm 44. I have a clean record and a multiline discount.
I'm 6'6" and 240lbs and my first bike was a 20 year xs400 twin with maybe 26hp at best. I looked like I was riding a broomstick but I had no problems on the highway.
I've driven in a blizzard and freezing rain before. One night, there was a snap freeze after some rain with dusting of snow on top. It was so slippery it took me almost a whole traffic light cycle just to get moving again from a red light. A few blocks later, I skidded turning into my street...
I know this isn't what everyone's talking about but I just use one of those little portable battery packs for charging phones. It fits in my pocket and I can use it away from the bike. Cost around $20-30. It'll do 4-5 full charges before it needs to be charged itself.
Shaft drive oil change is easier and less work than lubing a chain and should be done every year or two.
Buy a quart of gear oil, i think you're looking for 75W-90. Level the bike, Put a pail to catch the oil and open the shaft drain plug - it's on the bottom at the lowest point at the...
i completed the Ajusto program with a 95/100 score and got a 24% discount. Turns out it only applies to the base rate. I have some extras on my insurance and the discount doesn't apply to those. Overall, it looks more like around 16% off. At least the discount is permanent.
I'm sure they already figured Corolla drivers aren't exactly the same as mustang drivers.
They likely offset some of the discount by selling the highly detailed travel behavior data. Frankly, I object to that less than companies like facebook and google who pull a full colonoscopy on you and...
You can try. You have to put your policy number and i think I had to put my online credentials. I don't know if it'll work if you don't or if you just make up fake info.
If that doesn't work, you could set it up properly and then mark every trip as a passenger. You'll still see all the trip...
