They can be but I would go with the plug way easier at 40 amp I could charge from 0 to 100 in less than 9 hours. As Brian said faster is not necessary my car could charge at 20 kw 80 amps but it is not needed. Plug in is easy to change as well if there is an issue. Also the pion charger gives...

Mine doesn't seem to heat much at 40 amp and not at all with the charger set to 30 amp. I do have a commercial ev rated socket. I used/use a 15 amp 220 socket for years with the volt 12amp charger and never had an issue. Sent from my Pixel 5 using Tapatalk
