Needs headlight, carbs cleaned, a new seat, but all things considered, pretty good. The chain doesn't even have rust on it!

$100 or also open to trades for any cool **** too.

Like a case of beer.

CB500x 2016 in good nick and set up for cheap commuting ...bike is fuel efficient and stable at highway speeds.
Looks in good nick. $3500 certified a deal. (y)

VFR800 or CBF1000
I suspect you didn't like riding the X at high revs...It's capable enough in the twists if you wring its neck a bit.
Like the Vstrom 650 it only comes alive at 7k tho the Vstrom was much more fun 🕶️

Kyle bought a new bike for our 15 day East coast trip, so we have to sell the Hyperstrada. Up in Orillia if anyone is interested, please buy it so we can have space in the garage to actually get bikes out to go for a ride.

Beautiful bike but the maintenance on these scare the living hell out of me.
Everything the last few years was done by Kyle, but the Desmo service will be needed at 30k. Apparently it's about $1500.
Also that price is o.b.o.

He switched up to a Multistrada

That bike has almost the perfect mix of fun and practicality if "there can only be one". I had a 2015 821 Hyperstrada and it was a pretty good compromise between my SXV and 998. Adds center stand, luggage, windshield, bar risers, 12v power port, and hydraulic rear preload adjuster over standard Hypermotard. Seat height is also lower than the standard Hypermotard.

That’s about what I got quoted by Ken also. Multistrade was approx $1500 when I spoke with him.

So….multistrada or hyperstrada?

For a short, cheap, Polak with questionable DIY skills.

Asking for a friend…

Since you mentioned short, the Hyperstrada seat height is shorter than the standard Hypermotard. It's also pretty compact with a supermoto-style riding position. I guess you have to ask yourself if you sold the Scrambler because of maintenance costs or touring capability. Not sure how the maintenance interval is on the Scrambler, but belts/valves are 30k or 5 years on this one. Plugs Air filter are 15k but to get to them you pretty much take apart everything you need for the belts, so might as well do them while you're there.

EDIT: My bad - plugs are 30k, but air filter is every 15k, but what I said still stands if you're removing the tank and opening the airbox.

EDIT2: Sorry, I never had to do just the filter, looks like only the tank needs to be removed, so simpler than I remember compared to getting to the belts.

I've ridden both back to back and the Multi was my fav by a large margin.
Quoted $1200 by Ken for the desmo service and he always quotes it high just in case. It ended up being $800 and that included changing two tires (valves were in spec, air filter still clean so he reused it so both of these dropped the price). You can also drop some more labour by taking the plastics off yourself if you want.
I miss my Multi......
