Sport bikes are way more subtle. The now defunct 600`s would evolve year over year with half a kilo lighter,0.9 more HP etc. Sport bike styling is generally similar...but now we have wings too!!Funny you say that, i see the same when i look at all sports bikes. not trying to argue here. just the way i see them i guess

Just can't help yourself from trolling Harleys. love itPlus, most manufacturers have one or two sportbikes in their lineup. As well as one or two cruisers. And maybe a few dirtbikes, standards, ADVs, etc.
Harley has cruisers. And more cruisers. And wait... more cruisers...
In a multi-bike garage, it's more common to have a mix of bikes, rather than 4-5 cruisers from the same company. Not to say it doesn't happen, I'm sure, some nutjob owns a Sportster, Wide Glide, Road King and a FLXLOLBRBLBQT+ but it's not as common as someone who owns a R6, Vulcan and a 890 Adventure R.
The lack of diversification in Harley's lineup is both confusing from an outsider's perspective, and also detrimental to financial growth, as they don't have anything else to offer an existing Harley owner besides T-shirts and mugs.
In the world of music, Harley is metal. Makes no sense to many, can`t explain it to others, despised or hated by some. They are loved by many though, like hardcore metal fans love. Wanna` get an opiniated debate started, more than any other topic?... just mention the name.Just can't help yourself from trolling Harleys. love it![]()
Hmmmm.....as a fan(ish) of some Heavy Metal, among other stuff/generes I disagree. When I hear a alphabetsoup glide wallowing past I don't think of Black Sabbath playing Paranoid or Mob Rules. Nor do I think of Iron Maiden and others. And now that I think of it I've never heard an HD go by playing any music I like.In the world of music, Harley is metal. I think of harley as an MC expression of Bob Segar. Some memorable/pretty good stuff, always recognizable but it just ends up seeming like the same old thing over and over.

Max Burns had a way with words.I once read an article in CC where the author described Harleys "flatulating past my window" . To this day I still think of that when one rolls by.
Some people follow religions that have preached the same sermons forever. In the world of music, Harley is metal. Makes no sense to many, can`t explain it to others, despised or hated by some. In fact he did, but it wasn't his quote.Max Burns had a way with words.
should they decide to resurrect the V-Rod, I would be lining up to get one.
I see www.robinsonmotorcycle.com in Wheatly has one in stock plus a XR1200 and XL883R. I`ve heard some parts for the V-Rod are becoming hard to source. Still a cool bike however.YES!
Was just checking FB ads for a 2006 VRSCR.
Just for funsies, though. No garage space left, and there is a laundry list of bikes I'd get before that Harley, but I've always liked the V-Rod and that Street Rod has those higher mid-mount controls. 40° of lean angle!
