I also did a thing!

Ok did a long ride today, ton's of bikes out!

This bike is awesome!
The seat kind sucks, too narrow, slopes, I don't feel planted. I'm all sore now.
My throttle hand is also sore. The bars have a bit of pull back making my hand angle weird. Not sure what to do about that one.
The bars are about 1" but taper at the grips probably 7/8's.
Haven't looked yet but if I can get something more straight across the better.
Otherwise bar position is good for shoulders arm bend etc.

The handlebar clamp can be loosened and the bar can be rotated forward or backward to adjust the angle and height. You can make it more parallel by rotating it forward, might make the bars higher though.

If you need even more adjustment than rotating the bars will provide, you can remove the bar and rotate the handlebar clamps themselves 180° like this (1:43). Easy mod, only tool required is an Allen wrench.

These two options should give you a comfortable handlebar angle for your ergos. May have to adjust the switchgear once you rotate the bars.

Thanks for this, I'm not sure if it will do much, but will take a look. It's more the sweep. I'm sure you know.

See this,

My wrist ends up being bent to the right. I would prefer more straight on, as indicated in green.
I basically right now grip more to the end of the grip so my hand/can be more straight as there is some more room to try it.
Rotating the bars may not improve this position.

Airhawks are good for seat ergos if you don’t want to go down the rabbit hole of after market seats. I’ve had one on my last three bikes now. The current one just stays on permanently.

I’m thinking about doing a thing. I’m loosing a few marbles as I get older, my thoughts are in the HD area.

Never owned one, all the guys I ride with up north have them. Been looking at street and road glides.

The unfortunate thing about finding an aftermarket seat is that while they may be an improvement on the OEM one there's no guarantee they'll fit you 100%

I put a Russel Daylong seat on my ST and it was perfect. I had Terry Adcox (since deceased) do a seat for my Tracer GT and it was much better than the junk OEM one, but not perfect. An Airhawk made it much better, but not in RDL territory and you feel this at the end of a 8+ hour day. The Airhawk is very good value for the money.

I have a couple pairs of these and they're excellent. No problems doing back to back 800km rides on a KTM seat.

Exactly this, I was going to suggest an AirHawk.
It helped me great in the small Tiger until overinflating + my fat being + the extremely bumpiness of the 511 killed it.

I replaced that with a fakehawk (AliExpress copy) and it was a life saver in the trip I made to Pennsylvania last year with the Monster. @sburns, I can lend it to you to try it out if you're interested, since the Multi has been better regarding seating comfort so far.

Didn’t I give you some Puppies a while back? Did they work?
I couldn't get them on the grips properly.
Ended up with a paddle type thing, which I'm going to try on the new bike next.

Don’t you have cruise control on that bike?
I do, but it's also the throttle, plus I'm not sure I would use CC for short distances like I was doing yeserday, I was also all over the place.

Do it, they are nice rides if all you want to do is cruise around.
Just get ear plugs, watch out about older twin cams if you go that route.
Insuring them kinda sucks.
Or is that HD bike in the garage really yours?

The bike in the garage is one I picked up for a friend in Timmins. That’s what go me thinking.

Congrats on the new bike.

Have you tried adjusting the angle of the levers? Moving them down can lessen the flex from the pullback.

I had the same problem on my KTM. Rotating the bars back reduces the angle by pointing the ends more down instead of back. Just a slight difference, but enough to be comfortable for me. But since you mentioned the reach is already good, it might cause other issues.
