Has the city lost it's mind...

Not Toronto specific but I'm sure the same will apply there too. There is a simple solution (all bins on right side of street) but I'm sure there will be a pile of Karens that lose their crap about other peoples garbage bins on land the Karens dont even own.

The new bins have been a cluster****. Mine have been sitting at the end of the driveway since yesterday.

My daughter lives on a street that has parking on one side only and spots are in short supply. They alternate parking one side for the first half month on one side and the second half month he other side.

She noted that the fire hydrants are only on one side and eliminate 3 o 4 paring spots.

She tried to petition her neighbours to go with parking all month on the side without hydrants, picking up a few more spots and eliminating some confusion at switchover.

She gave up after getting a bunch of "What if's"

Non hydrant side Karens will go straight to the manager.

And more quality ideas from our leadership

I'm not sure exactly how I feel about it.
But why don't they build the convention centre at Ontario Place, and leave the Science centre where it is.
He thinks ontario is Dubai. He is ignoring that we are closer to bankrupt than having infinite riches.

Wouldn't that be "Fill in MORE of the Lake?"

Hint: Look at FRONT Street and guess where it got its name.

Yeah if you go to the Oil Mill sometime, they have some old photos/drawings of what Toronto waterfront use to look like before they pushed out into the lake.

Cant do that.
The Science Centre is a death zone.

Magically the roof that was not safe, did not collapse under all the snow we had this year.

Earlier in the week, I saw a news release that Ford will announce plans for a new 2mil sqf convention centre and that the site location will be release in a few days.
That right there already smelled fishy to me.
Why release only half the info and the other (probably most important) half on anothe date. If you plan on building, you must know where you want to build it.

I also thought, where the hell are they going to fit 2 mil sqf into an already tight city?

Exhibition grounds have a ton of surface parking. Ontario place used to have a ton of surface parking. There are opportunities for better land utilization but I am assuming that douggie will take lessons from Carney and try to find the most expensive and least value for money option for the taxpayers. That maximizes his return on our "investment".

Yeah a lot of convenience aligning up with his ideas.

I'm sure the old SC will be demo'd and developed in line with the rest of the area (they already removed SC from the transit stop). The new SC along with this convention centre will be built at the water front, as I feel this is doug's legacy project for the city, and getting kickbacks or whatever from that parking lot deal, which get's even better when you have not 1 event space, but 2.
Even though 100% of it should not happen, and I'm sure the scrutiny is all being squashed and years later we'll find out it wasn't legal, everyone got sweet deals, ran over budget, but it will be too late. Scourdrals, and we get left holding the bag, while other priorities suffer.

Protect Ontario, right?

I think Ford would win again if an election was held today and I'd vote for him.

That said, every bone in my body says he's getting reward points somewhere like most politicians. Where and when does he cash them in?

What form do they take? A seat on the board of mega corporation with stock options and a golden parachute? Free rides for the kiddies to an Ivy League college?

Some day we will find out the real costs of driving a Ford.

Doug Ford sunshine list @ $210K/yr.

There is no way that 210/yr could pay for that monster. Maybe CRA should do net worth audits on all politicians by legislation? Would they find any that weren't dirty? Definitely won't find any in the leadership of the party in charge.

That's Amazon for you. You order a new shed and they ship you the wrong thing. Rather than deal with the return shipping they tell you to keep it free of charge.

He's still a co-owner of Deco Labels and has legacy money. It's not like he's using food banks.

The printing business can be very lucrative, well once you get over the high capital cost. Some of the things I use to see charges for gave my head a spin. Like 1 sheet of material charged to the client could pay for an entire roll of media. Or 100x markups.

The guy I know that owns the most planes has a printing business. He's also a really nice guy (and he's not douggie).
