I suspect if you been there the last 15 years or so, there still would be some familiar faces with signs of wear. lol.

Not since I left the Falls (Stamford Center) - late 80s. That was the best /closest hangover breakie. Mountain>Mewburn>left on York and pull into the lot.

Nothing will ever beat breakfast at the Lincoln Lodge (RIP) in Baysville. Ever.

Stacked is pretty good but, you also pay for it.

Paying for pretty good seems fair to me.

The Husky a klick or so east of there on York use to serve a good breakfast (Texas Toast!) for a good price. Don't know about now.

Been years but many a LATE night or early breakfast at Huskys.
Being open 24 hours it was the only game in town when coming home from the Falls or being over the River.
Only problem was it was also a hangout for the OPP on shift.

These days I will only do Keg prime rib at one of the downtown locations (York St., Mansion) I am sure there are other locations that are good but in general all the other locations I have gone to lately it was super dried out, Sherway was the worst. Other steaks are generally OK at most locations as long as they cook them right. Like a number of places these days, they have a discount drink menu later at night in the bar...

Anyone looking for Italian in Etobicoke.... Mamma Matrino's is one of my go to places and the prices are good, but it is also the go to for many so there can be a huge line on some nights (Fri and Sat). Mamma Martino's Restaurant

One problem with a poorly prepared meal is it ruins the evening if it needs to be corrected so too often one makes do if it isn't toxic. Reordering means someone is out of the dining pattern.

We were the guests so it was even more difficult.

I'm not naming the place as it was a while back and they may have just been having a bad day. One bad day shouldn't be a death sentence.

It's quiet, cloth napkin place where one would be able to enjoy conversation. That part was fine.

I ordered the prime rib as I had enjoyed it several times before. Someone else ordered the salmon.

I ended up with a dried, over cooked hunk of beef and I could tell from looking at the other person's salmon wasn't any better, dry as dust.

We were having a good time socially so didn't make a fuss. I can only assume the chef called in sick and the bus boy took over. I should have called the next day and asked what they were thinking.

I haven't been back since and miss the earlier version of their fare. Should I give them another chance?

If you enjoyed it before it's probably worth another shot. Maybe speak to a manager this time, just to ask what the deal was the last visit.

About 10 years ago spouse and I went to the one that was at Square One, since closed I think, and had their renowned pound of melted butter, with a side of beef tenderloin, fully loaded baked potato and mixed veggies.

Heavy heavy meal and we suffered for hours post meal due to the massive fat hit from an excessive amount of butter used in everything they cooked.
