Fak…..
This is what you asked for Toronto. Ever feel cheated?
Yikkies, that is some really poor planning.
That’s a bit surprising because previous games (any home game) both MX and TTC increased service at the end of the game.Yikkies, that is some really poor planning.
World class city of Toronto eh!
Chow may have not did it directly, but certainly someone should have used a brain cell.
They certainly stepped up when Taylor Swift came to town (probably at TS team's direction) but honestly no one at city hall said, hey do we have a transit plan for the Jays game.![]()
Chow is the boss, she sure seemed gung-ho for the WS games, making a bet with LA mayor Karen Bass. Looks like she trusted her underlings and minions to get it right...nope. I guess they never figured on getting tens of thousands home or even thinking about extra innings. No surprise where daily news stories of some giant cluster-F of something in TO occur. I was at the GnR show at the CNE years ago where they came on hours late, they kept the trains running then.Sure Olivia Chow did it ….

Even better than an oversight, city of Toronto tweeted "transit won't wait!" When the game went into extra innings. This was a planned train wreck. Heads need to roll. That’s a bit surprising because previous games (any home game) both MX and TTC increased service at the end of the game.
MX had trains every 15min instead of 30, and TTC also increased train frequency at union.
Game ended before midnight. Last trains from union (TTC and GO and UPE) were 1am.Even better than an oversight, city of Toronto tweeted "transit won't wait!" When the game went into extra innings. This was a planned train wreck. Heads need to roll.

‘Transit won’t wait!’: City, Metrolinx face criticism for not extending transit service for Game 7
The City of Toronto is facing criticism for not arranging extended service to accommodate Game 7 of the World Series, which finished in extra innings Saturday night.www.cp24.com
Ehhh... I dunno. I could probably make it, as an experienced commuter. If you are a visitor to the city you might not figure out how the GO platforms work fast enough. Disembarking at Union is easier than embarkingGame ended before midnight. Last trains from union (TTC and GO and UPE) were 1am.
More than enough time to get there and catch a train.
Unless you want to a bar to drown your sorrows….
Game ended at 12:20 iirc. It could easily take you 15 minutes to get out of stadium with the crowds. Walk to union is 10-15 minutes. When you get there, ACC and skydome both dumped at the same time so there are 100K people trying to get on ~10 minutes of trains. It's possible to make it but it's a mad dash.Game ended before midnight. Last trains from union (TTC and GO and UPE) were 1am.
