Valve?Could have done better today. Odd-feeling steering turned out to be low rear tire pressure, which wasn't low a few days ago, so there must be a puncture. I limped it home, added air, sprayed tire with soap and water ... can't find the leak. Tire is about two-thirds done, so if this turns out to be an unfindable slow leak, I'm not too distressed.
Valve?
I would spray some soapy solution around the stem and inside or you will never know the real cause of the leak! And it will bug you indefinitely! It's possible. Valve stem is original and therefore 21+ years old. It's one of those things I've thought of replacing, but never had that thought at the same time as actually doing the tires. It's going to happen this time.
I'm guessing these (or less likely but also possible, the more expensive and more accurate bolt on tpms that macdoc uses).

Agreed. I run different pressures in all 4 of the Urals tires. Highly doubt those Chinese things are accurate.

I bought the Fobo2 TPMS for peace of mind. They work good.My last few bikes have had TMps built in one less thing to think about.

I use those as well and agree, would recommend.I didn't read every post but noticed a discussion on TPMS. I've been using the Fobo Bike 2 TPMS sensors for several seasons. Worth every nickel.
The sensors are wildly accurate and makes checking tire pressures simple. On every bike I have had, checking with a tire gauge is painful.
While more expensive than other options, the app and units work flawlessly giving me confidence in a very important detail. The app also sends real time alerts if your tires are too low or too high. This is an adjustable setting on the app.
on my last tire change I replaced the rubber valve stems with metal ones. It's possible. Valve stem is original and therefore 21+ years old. It's one of those things I've thought of replacing, but never had that thought at the same time as actually doing the tires. It's going to happen this time.
