Blocked IPs?

Thanks all. Having talked to several others now the common theme is pretty much....Bell.

Bell has a long history of DNS problems that lead to these sorts of things. So this tracks as these sound like DNS issues.

If you guys can login to your modem/routers (Probably the HomeHub 3000 I'm guessing?), go to the advanced settings and change your DNS to a third party service. 1.1.1.1 is Google, but personally I'm a fan of Quad9 at 9.9.9.9 - better malware protection and fast resolving. But either option will be be better than the default Bell DNS service.

Save the settings, reboot the modem, test things for a few days and report back.

I will have to summon the kid to figure this out. Wonder why all of a sudden this happened . We switched to Bell 2 years ago without a hiccup.

Thanks for all your help @PrivatePilot

Mine is working again, did something change???

For when is it not working...
My home ISP is Rogers, their WiFi, Gateway etc. no VPN--no devices work from this location.
My cell is also Rogers when using data it works, also any devices tethered to it.
Any other location works.

But as noted, it started working from home again this morning...

I'm on Cogeco at home FWIW. Not sure if the office is Bell, but both wifi networks had an identical issue.

I gave up and unplugged the Bell modem. 5 minutes later I'm in business. Will see if it lasts more than a week this time.

Politics is site supporter only. Need to pay up. Interesting that speed issues are linked to your account.

Ok that’s the issue then as I can see that thread section with the JC100 account and I guess I shouldn’t be able to as I don’t have site supporter status. It may be due to an authored thread that was somewhere else previously that got moved there? Every other part of GTAM is slow as molasses under the JC100 username too so something is royally screwed. This username has the same IP address so it’s not that.

I’m happy to get site supporter status on the JC100 username if an admin can confirm that it would solve the speed issues.
