Just bought flounder filets and langostines from the local fish market. Quicker than waiting for me to catch anything.Pablo’s fish market is also an excellent option

Trickier to cast with weight plus a lure ....better to have heavier lure. Put a big spoon on and watch it fly. Most anglers proficient at casting average 25-30 yards, depending on their tackle and wind conditions. When I used to guide, I'd teach people new to fishing to cast this far.1
Wait until you find out about topwater fishingSteep learning curve this. Found out why a spinner is called a spinner (duh). Also found out that it is possible to reel in a lure quicker than the fish can get to it. I watched two asthmatic fish get outpaced. Watched another fish jump at the lure. My casts don't seem to go much further than about 50ft or so. That doesn't seem too fantastic. I slapped a reasonable weight on the rig. Still excellent fun though.

Not yet. Might save some of the langostine we bought for dinner to use.Trickier to cast with weight plus a lure ....better to have heavier lure. Put a big spoon on and watch it fly.
Wind can be very useful or very frustrating.
You try any bait fishing with a float yet?
From where you are , Bay of Quinte is pickerel heaven . You’ll have to work for them but it’s rewarding in your area .

Try out one of the tri-toons with 300+ hp and much of the pontoon hate goes away. They handle surprisingly well. Thirsty though and 80+ mph on a floating dock is a strange feeling.I don’t mind pontoon boats but unless it’s got several decks, is the size of a small island and is staffed by butlers I’m not sure I like them.

About 80k USD each. How much are those outboards?
I had a BBQ on a pontoon boat once. Fished off the side. All very relaxing.
