Exhaust sounds good overall, if not a wee bit loud.

My heart has been hurting for the poor 749 it began life as.
The safety that is mentioned many times in the ad is about to expire. Plate location in front of the axle is very questionable for a safety. Wouldnt put a lot of faith in the rest of the inspection either.

As a guy who stripped 250lbs from a GL1200 and turned it into a drag racer I whole heartedly agree.

I wouldnt say that is stupidly overpriced. Maybe a touch high, but in the ballpark. Wrap is a giant sticker over the bike. Can be cheaper than painting. Can also peel off the wrap with some work to get back to original finish.Ok, my first attempt here, being a (very) noob, never owned a bike, but been looking for bikes for about a month.

There’s no difference between a 2010 - 2016 CBR250 besides some colour schemes.
Go for the cheapest 250-300 you can find with ABS.
40k on a Honda? That's nothing. Get a 2010 and save maybe $1000? I'll pay the $1000 more for a 6 year newer bike thanks.
You can usually remove the wrap by patiently heating it with a hair drier and peeling it off. The adhesive may remain so more time and solvent to get it off. Nah. They don't. Saw that on Facebook. Some guy was warning others not to bother. Broken fairing stay. The guy apparently painted the frame with a brush (hiding damage?) Mismatched fasteners.Do GSXRs hold their value that well?

I've been outta the bike scene for a number of years now, but these threads are still entertaining. My last bike was during the recession ($10k cad for a CBR1000RR 08 model in 09) from the states when local dealers were selling the same bikes for $15k cad. The thread on importing was a helpful resource. Sad to have sold that bike, but i moved over seas and let them have it for a decent price. Some of the prices I see nowadays are astounding. I guess inflation hit Canada hard.

Covid and the resulting supply chain issues did a lot more than inflation. Bear in mind too, just because people are asking ridiculous prices for their used stuff doesn't necessarily mean they're getting it.
It's never too late to get back in!!

Yeah man! I wanted to see what was going on here after asking an old buddy "What's going on these days on GTAM??:" time difference sucks.
Prices here don't seem as inflated.. but the market is flooooooooded with Hayabusas man.. also ads aren't always properly done. I am a bit of an old man now so I'm not out as much during the nights when most of the bikes are terrorizing things. We are limited for roads here in Qatar, but I'm a cager now these days since my M2 expired a while back. Too hot to do the course. I still lust after bikes now and then, but with an M1000RR being like 50k cad, I decided it's just less hassle to get a GT3 instead. No regrets man! heh! Colon cancer kinda dampened the bike dreams. In different circumstances, I'd consider it.

At least they directly admit where they're getting their math from lol. And they washed it, took multiple clear pictures, and correctly labelled everything! The best FB marketplace ad I've ever seen honestly
