A theft like that must be part of a shopping list to fill an outbound container. Wouldn't be surprised if other exotic cars missing in the last couple of weeks are part of this operation. Cops should be trying to cross-reference high-end thefts.

When I was working at a Jag dealership 20 years ago we had some thefts.
One included the thieves driving up with a car transport rig, breaking in and taking 10 cars out in one shot. The cops found the cars driving on their original plates in the Middle East and Switzerland a few years later.
Second time a Polish couple out a deposit on a finance, picked it up, closed the accounts and the 100k car was gone for a 2k payment never to be seen again.
They were probably from Mimico. Can't trust Polish people from that area...

I know they dont like to finance motorcycles
I wonder if banks see luxury high end sports cars differently than regular cars, or in their eyes, a car is just a car, albeit this one is just a more expensive one
Surprised it took this long for something like this to happen to that exotics place. $10K is basically the price tag for a Lambo for someone with the right connections to make it go away.
Although I'm guessing this place has all sorts of cameras that has the renter on video, although in the Covid mask era even that may be limited use if the offender plays his cards correctly. Wouldn't be surprised it's LoJack'd as well, but again, I'm guessing pros can take care of that in short order.

You must be thinking of leasing. Banks and manufacturers finance motorcycles all the time.
Leasing is a dangerous game for them because the residual value is so dependent on the condition at lease-end, and motorcycles get damaged and abused so much more easily than cars.

No I was referring to financing, I've heard banks dont like to finance bikes, if its in-house financing thats a different story (harley, honda, BMW, ducati etc)

I remember reading that supercars can be financed over 10-15 years. But I’m too poor to actually dig deeper lol.
