Was announced an hour or so back that the curfew idea is out, but that there may be a new state of emergency declared that would allow other options.

i already broke the news!

Nope not at all once you have had to go through that and see what happens to the person I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

It's their choice.

I knew a lady who went through cancer hell long enough to bridge a rift between her husband and son.

I know a guy living on a tube to show his teen aged daughters how to fight.

A cousin was diagnosed and crawled into a bottle.

Different diseases and different attitudes

In what thread, since here seems to be about 250 different threads with different titles but discussing the same things in the end.

My sister had leukaemia back in 1989. The sickness was very far advanced when discovered - she volunteered to be a guinea pig for new treatments.. .simply because she wanted to live for her 3 year old daughter.

I was the bone marrow donor. Sister has my allergies, blood type, metabolism (mine is very slow (had it tested), she used to be able to eat a ton... not anymore before weight gain though!) etc now. Her skin got a little darker than before, her hair changed from a natural dirty blonde to my dark brown.

She's still around in generally decent shape aside from the aches and pains a 60 year old has.. should be around for a while longer.

Some transplants work better than others. If it gives hope, go for it.

Kudos to everyone involved.

Ten years ago my cousin lost her 25 YO daughter to a nasty leukemia leaving behind a 4 year old son. She was gone 10 months after diagnosis.

Beautiful....son of a ***** gets a vacation AND $1M for losing his job....I'd say it worked out pretty well for him.

I'm sure he'll have a new job within a few weeks.

How many idiots are on that board? Do these airheads understand optics? Fire them too, with cause.

Now a million or so goes down the drain. I suppose they could fight it but the chance of losing and paying legal fees on top of the severance makes it a very tough decision.

Where is Justin on this? Pass some brutal law to stop this nonsense. Snowbirds going to Florida for a jab and then returning, quarantine at your leisure. In New Zealand you quarantine under government control for $3000.

Oh wait, that would affect the politicians vacations too.

firing politicians is just stupid, guys that have the chops to become a CEO usually have some decent skills. And they all have parachutes in the exit plan. Even in the private sector presidents and ceo's cfo's usually have a parachute, its smart negoiation.
Its kicking smart people to the curb for optics

People that have 'important' jobs like figure skaters and pro atheletes and can cross borders, or my buddy that lives in Chicago and has a girl friend in Mississauga, he makes hand sanitizer in his factory (among other things) so has an essential worker clearance. He comes home for BJ's , no quarantine required. The process has way to many loopholes.

Sorry to hear about that...
Sister was in the hospital for about 7 months after initial diagnosis.
Some graft vs. host syndrome (hardened fat nodules under her skin making it feel like she's got a small pea every square inch or so), but otherwise good.

Couple other things coming up now, so I may end up being a spare parts bin for her. ;)

Fack. Govt has got to start laying some earth shattering fines for idiocy. Durham couple with UK strain repeatedly said in interviews they had not travelled or been in contact with anyone that traveled. Now it comes out that they visited with a traveler from the UK. Actively blocking investigation amd contact tracing should be six figures to start. We probably wasted more than that trying to unravel their lies.

The woman and man, from Durham Region east of Toronto, had contact with a traveller from the U.K. prior to falling ill, the provincial Health Ministry said last month.

But the ministry also indicated the man and woman initially withheld that information.

"Additional investigation and follow-up case and contact management has revealed that the couple had indeed been in contact with a recent traveller from the U.K., which is new information not provided in earlier interviews,"

I would argue that a very large percentage are well-connected, entitled and not fit for the jobs they hold. They are supposed to be leaders. They only care about number one and have no place in the public sector. Private sector can do what they want with the dbags.

You want to fire the volunteer board members?

This is not something new, this same kind of dismissal and golden parachute scheme has been going on for decades in our health care system. I had to lock out 3 CEO computer accounts in the 13 years that I worked as a system tech for a CCAC.

This is a perfect example of wanting to see actual consequences, charges and fines stick. Here are the rules, these people say ‘don’t apply to me’ and here we are...

My daughter had Wilson disease, Very rare and i never heard of it till she got it.
It’s the body’s inability to remove the copper from your system, copper starts attacking the organs and killing the liver.

One of the tell tail signs of the disease other than massive blood work is copper rings forums in the eyes which she stills has

Just heard on the news that this is gonna be going before the courts. I charges are being laid.

To what that means have to wait and see

You're Still getting it wrong, the infected people should isolate.

How can that be so complicated ? you can't catch germs from a body that does not have them, but you sure as **** can get them from somebody that is infected with them.
You have to isolate everyone, not just the infected.

once you are diagnosed as infected, you probably spewed a lot of ? into/onto your surroundings.

Why?
What is the percentage in isolating every healthy specimen, that does nothing to thwart the virus.

Problem remains that we still can't see the bug, it's too damn small.

As I guessed....mid summer at the earliest...but at the current rate it’ll be 2022 if they don’t get their **** together.

So ummm, why wasn't the UK traveller quarantining? Let me guess, exempt...
