well, if anyone's interested in a 2016 CB500X, I'll be posting it on the market this month when I get around to taking some pics. I don't think I have the guts to see her go  Selling it fully kitted out, once posted if people low-ball or I don't get offers I may sell the exhaust seperately or try and use it on the next bike. Still have all the original parts, manuals, etc... Just put new Shinko's on before storage, and a fresh oil change with full Motul Synthetic.

- SW Motech adjustable pegs
- Gear indicator
- GPS Bar
- Scorpion Serket Exhaust
- Honda centre stand
- CB500X Radiator guard
- SW Motech handguards (barkbusters, pretty version)
- Givi rear rack (Pelican case not included), have original side grab handles
- Side stand large plate (for soft surfaces)
- Rally Raid black brake/clutch levers
- AUX fog lights with Denali brackets
- Spare oil filter
- Bar risers
- Wind deflector
- Genuine 3M Reflective tape on rims

16, 500kms on the clock, runs like day 1, always stored indoors, covered and on a tender. Everything waxed, and cleaned and AFC-50d

That is a sweet looking bike. The best colour combo in my opinion.

Scorpion you might do better moving some farkles on their own ...I''d be up for the Denali lights and bark busters maybe a couple other bits :D

For those interested ...the 2016/17/18 are an improved version over the 2013-2015. 2019 and 2020 are different with larger front wheel ( 19") and a narrower seat, some power changes

I searched long and hard for that colour when I was looking for the bike, only came in the 2016 model and different from the usual black and red they always do. It's got a lovely matte finish.

@MacDoc It's just Denali L-Brackets on the front forks with some regular AUX lights of superbrightleds website, each are 700 Lumens, make a huge difference and mounted on the front wheel, so they turn with the bike illuminating the corners and don't blind traffic. They are wired into the bike and I may leave them on, still debating if its worth the effort to remove. The burkbusters will have to stay on the bike, the handlebar was changed to a more solid Honda ATV bar, and the mechanic tapped/threaded the bars to screw the barkbusters in directly vs grab method, so stock bar ends won't go in (I still have them). The Barkbuster weighted ends make a big difference, and so did the handlebars+mount, 0 vibes.

and yup, the 2016 saw alot of changes vs the years before, 2019 some more :)

I am having double thoughts and wondering why o_O

For one I'm getting the Yamaha T7 and no room for 2 bikes. Most reasons come down to doing more off-road, I didn't want to get the Rally Raid kit for the CBX, just too expensive for a budget bike and would have been a huge loss at re-sale. Another, being over 6ft tall, the CB always felt cramped to me, esp for standing up, the ergos are just not made for that. I didn't want to go the whole root of new triple clamps, thicker/wider bars, taller seat, just becomes a never ending list and feels like its forcing the bike to be something it isn't. As it sits, for its intended purpose, I think it's perfect, my purpose now is just different. I would also like to do the TCAT one day, or enter events like the Dacre rally (ADV class), which the CB won't do without throwing more money at it.

I think the power is okay for solo trips, though once loaded with gear, she does get a little sluggish when touring. In the future I'd like to move out west, and with hills/altitude the CP2 in the Tenere 700 will just have that little extra without the extra weight (same weight as the CB). I've also never owned a Yamaha, had a Suzuki, and now a Honda, time to see what the Yammie is all about :)

don't recall ever seeing one, doesn't surprise me as it's a strange beast
1670 cc AC 45 degree twin in a sporty upright naked?

interesting assembly project but can't see what it would be good for
other than destroying rear tires in a straight line
