The wet markets in China are an aweful thing to see. For a westerner. Less violent but equally 'dangerous' markets exist all over the planet. In rural Peru we were warned dont eat meals prepared at the markets, the same 5gal pail they wash the plates in is the same bucket the rinse the chicken in. They are conditioned to it. Same in parts of Africa, our idea of hygene doesnt happen.

We're doing fine here. The US situation is a lot more concerning, and our economies are so intertwined. I see no positive outcomes to the US mess. November election is likely going to be a shitshow.

I do, our money should go up in world market value, or theirs go down depending on how you look at it.

Because the media might be smartening up to stop encouraging racism by shoving a location to a disease's name. General public is ignorant enough to assume Koreans, Taiwanese, Viet, Philipino, Japanese etc. etc. would be from Hong Kong or China. And by that token, the "Spanish flu" would be thrown at Mexicans, Brazillians, and whoever else looks Latino.

Douggie mentioned something in his press conference yesterday about if retailers didn't stop jacking prices up for necessary items he would draft legislation to force them.

Pusateris got a blunt reaming over sanitation supplies pricing. I wonder if it was old stock from a couple of years back when they didn't bother with cleaning and got shut down by the health department.
