A really pleasant insurance experience for a first time rider

Not really too far fetched. I had my SV650 insured with a fresh M2 last year for $800, added a Ducati Streetfighter 848 this year, full coverage for it was $1300 through Allstate. 30 years old and had to restart my motorcycle license here last year because it lapsed back in BC years ago.

Is Toronto just Price Gouge City?

Its definitely tougher to get good rates. Supply and demand, dumb a$$ed riders (some post on here) and drivers, etc. Postal code certainly comes into the equation.

I am fairly new rider, took safety course, and am paying more than you for a smaller displacement, lower cost bike (with a stellar long term driving history). Been driving for over 30 years.

Its frustrating, especially when I hear what people pay in the US.

You essentially start with a blanket slate, they only care about tickets on your licence as they don't pull claims for your car. Think of it being considered 'high risk' for the first year and you should see it come down.

Ask those people what they are getting back in terms of coverage. Grass may not always be greener.

Northern Ontario pays half what the rest of the provence pays for plates, sounds like that might also apply to insurance ?
AND they get to run studded tires, how cool would that be on a motorcycle in Thunder Bay.

Hey guys, I just remembered to check back on this. I can assure you all I have zero connection to anyone at Billyard except for my Agent (His name was Dami) @HarleyHare.

Now joking aside, I'm actually in Thunder Bay, so a 2h flight from T.O.

This was genuinely a post saying they gave me a really good rate, I would hope that anyone shopping for insurance would just go with the lowest price and not with "Some bro online said they were solid, so that's good enough for me to only get the one quote!"

If anyone wants some more info I'll make sure to not just abandon this post...again...
If your interests go beyond insurance promotion as you state, we will see you in other posts. So get busy....we're waiting and watching.
