yeah i have a call with the theft specialist tomorrow. but apparently it will take 4 weeks or so before i see any money. Insurance wants to wait and see if the bike turns up.

Sorry for your loss man. If you get one of those sexy italian bikes, make sure you also get a big *** chain and lock. It's not steal-proof but at least they will go for an easier bike to take.

My dad was in a car accident today and I had to go to the impound lot to get some stuff out of his car. The tow truck driver met me there to let me in. The most MONSTER chain and lock I've ever seen on the gate (they store repo's there too) so I commented "Wow, nice chain/lock!" and he said "It only keeps the honest people out." lol

no i'll probably buy something different. Triumph 675 maybe, shouldn't be too much more on insurance compared to the F3 and 848

Sorry to say but 2008 Gsxr isnt worth much parts wise. I believe they did this anticipating you getting a new bike..... Yes they will come back next month.

THIS never gets attention. Like, every moto theft in a van is likely stolen, but poor caravan owners...never get their justice.

These guys stole my 07 GSXR from the 100 Harrison Gardens Condo's.. EXACT same van.. stolen plates. They came back to steal other bikes in the same condo in a few months time. They'll be back for your replacement. The police officer I had spoken to said that they even know who they are but they couldn't get them because they "are never home when they go check".. lol.. they'll be back.

Nothing you can do about it. It's very very rare these thieves get caught. Sorry about your bike OP.
