Stolen 2008 Suzuki GSXR600

what's disturbing to me is that there is another bike right where the van squeezed in by the gates. and still went down to the end of the parking lot to pick up the "white" "Slow" "ladies GSXR" LOL

What's disturbing is these idiots are still operating. How in the hell do they not get caught. How are condos not being forced to do something to make things more secure?

yeah that too, i'm curious to see how they get into other condo's. at least mine is ****ed up because there's a large enough gap that anyone can drive around if there're no other cars parked.

also apparently from the previous post the police knows who it is but can never find them at home. lol

Someone needs to make the condo's accountable.. But usually the terms and conditions are they are not responsible.. Etc

Simple enough you will pay insurance for the garage then.

The reason why this is overlooked because everyone assume insurance will take care of it. Having deal with cops when my car literally got disassembled tell me cops take this very lightly unless you know who did it with facial indentification...

It happens so often that you would think they dont just random pick a condo to hit eh? My theory is they got info from security personel.

I think the cover on that bike says "Hyosung". ?

On a serious note. I was at my MIL's condo last week. Saw a few bikes. Also saw some spots that had solid concrete walls on either side of the spot. Got me thinking....why not work into the terms on new purchase that you get one of those spots, and have a metal manual roll up door installed? I think you would be able to negotiate that with a new condo purchase. (if this thing is valid, I'm starting a new side business.)

Or you can just work out a term with the board to have steel containers which can be moved easily.

The doors could interfere with passersby. Thought about that as they are fairly inexpensive second hand.

Edit: Or retrofit the cans with roll up doors, effectively making any space an option. ....next issue: Clearance of entry to garage.

Yes roll doors have been used with the containers for a long time now. Go oversea and you will see them being retrofited for all kind of project ( even offices)

They have special dolly for them to move around. Not sure where to find it here. Im sure if you ask the right ppl they can tell you how.

Why don't condo's do anything? Because most condo-association boards are full of the lamest, angriest, pettiest, passive aggressive, shallow, old, fat and ugly human beings who don't ride motorcycles and hate those that do. They find it delightful that your punk-*** bikes are getting taken and you can bet your condo living ***** that your underpaid, piece of **** revolving door of security guards are in on it.

Try it - go over to any of those Tridel condo's on Harrison Garden blvd. Park on the street and wait till a car drives by into the garage.. take your time because the piece of **** door stays open for 35 minutes after a car has entered. Then follow it in and steal some ****. You'll never be caught. Guaranteed. Free ****: motorcycles, bicycles, golf clubs.

Condo's are also filled with overtly shallow, illogically noise conscious, space conscious neighbours who hate you for watching TV past 7PM and will try to poison your dog for barking once a day. God damnit.

Ouch....

Someone, and I'm not saying who, but someone does not think highly of condos. ^^^^^

I thought I would love it, but I hated it. 1 year in and we got out. In that time a neighbours Harley got jacked and my Accord got vandalized. Still, they are a necessity for some people/ cities, and there should be ways to help people protect their stuff. You see those "storage lockers" that are nothing more than chicken wire fencing? 30 seconds and snippers, and I can have whatever I want.
More riders that own condos need to get on their condo board.

Wow. I thought it was just sport bikes being nicked. BTW - I think my bike was safer in my yard than a condo building when I used to live near the Danforth area. My Car insurance was actually cheaper too! When you move to the 'burbs it increases for many reasons.. more claims, more likely to claim due to the chance of doing more driving.. etc.

I could never do the condo thing - never understood them having come from a place where everyone lives in a house.. and I love to BBQ on my patio :-p

LOL. The whole time I read zx6rr's post I had the Clark Griswald rant in my mind. BTW zx6rr, I agree with you 100% on condo boards.
Simply put, the developer's don't give a rat's behind about "motorcycles". They will sell out their condo's in this red-hot market even if it didn't have a toilet. So why care about catering to the niche market of motorcyclists?

I would love it if a class action suit was brought by the resident's of a condo building against the property management company for stolen property. Putting something in a contract that states they have no liability doesn't necessarily mean they can't be found guilty. I'm sure the right lawyer can argue that the PM has a fiduciary dutyto ensure the safety of the building's residents. And if they are being stolen over and over again with nothing being done... that's grounds for a suit.

I used a set of gojacks to roll around a 20' empty sea can, worked well.
