Courtesy of a cement truck.. gives purpose to the dedicated motorcycle/scooter parking and a reason to miss on the boulevard parking even more. More pictures to come.

You'll just have to adjust to the new handlebar position and geometry changes.

I'm working on it. But I need to open the front fork back up to let the wheel move again atleast.

Oh man! I can relate. Doesn't feel good, does it? Amirite?

Meh, didn't they drop one of those off a roof and then ride it away, loaded up with fish and chip oil?

damn man! sucks! :S

Definetly somewhat heart broken- not going to lie. Is bikes getting crushed by cement trucks while parked a common thing in Hamilton? Or here in the GTA? This is the first I've heard of it. I'm glad you can relate though :) I love this forum, and all you guys.

I heard about the video but haven't seen it. I might just look for it now... I didn't try and start it even. The ignition shattered under the weight of the wheel.

I'm not exactly looking for sympathy but thank you! It certainly does suck. At the end of the day though it's just a bike. They'll be more where it came from.

Ouch!!! I am sure that will buff right out.....
Like I said to RedDogDarren, I'm working on it. No luck yet though. I might do some tear down in the next few days.
I'll get a couple more picture up later this evening just so we can all enjoy this quality entertainment. I wish I had it on video. I don't think there are any security cameras where I had it parked. I'll have to look into that.

I don't know about common but a rental Uhaul cube van hit my bike in front of my house while I was standing at the second floor kitchen window. By the time I got my pants on and down the stairs he was gone. I was gutted.

That's brutal. Did it get knocked over and crushed as well? I can't imagine a U-Haul Cube Van doing the same kind of damage, but like they say the heavier they are the harder they fall- I certainly can expect and imagine that you were riding anything nearly as small as mine. Correct me if I'm wrong. What was the damage/bill on your Hit and Run?

I've had my R1 bumped and nudged- someone backed into it. I could see where they hit on the fairing and the mark from the kickstand moving on the asphalt. I'm pretty sure several weeks ago a garbage/recycling truck knocked my C70 over but only damaged the cover, and bent the signals. Nothing serious. No one actually saw those two hits from before, but when my C70 was knocked over both this time and last it was picked up by people who know me/ of me in the building- and I was notified.

No crush, just a tap. My street is on a hill. He knocked it away from the sidestand to the down side of the street if you know what I mean. Damage was enough to render the bike unridable. That impacted my evening plans, had just gotten out of the shower (hence, no pants) admiring the bike thru window bathed in golden sunshine. That was so long ago I didn't even notice what race he was. But the pain I will never forget.

Damn it. I can't even imagine. Like I said, that's brutal. Did the individual just drive away or did they get out and look to see what they had done and if anyone else saw? Did you make eye contact or you don't recall? This particular pain was certainly a new sensation/ type. Absolutely unforgettable.

If it's any consolation I have had a mystery truck crush the left quarter panel of my car while I was at work. That was irritating.

I stayed at the window slack jawed just long enough to see him pound it into reverse, maybe a second and a half. I highly doubt he got out to look(what for?) because he was gone when I got there. Anyway, enough of that. Don't want to hijack your thread.

I can't speak for the op but yes it's a consolation. Got anything else? Ever fall down a flight of stairs or get your digits snared in a mousetrap? Whatcha got?

I have a lot of entertaining injuries, but as I am going to bed that's for another time. :)

What a pile of BS. At least that's long done and over with. Now it's just a painful memory for you. Didn't mean to bring that back at all.

Reddog- somewhat but not exactly. Like I said, I've been victim of light/ minimal damage hit and runs before but, to have it like it is this time crushed me too for a few minutes (not literally, but mentally). I'm just glad it wasn't my R1, as well that I hadn't worked early and wasn't on the bike or standing beside it getting ready to go. It has to be a real nice cage to hit close to home like that. Was/is it a real nice cage?
Do you have any threads pertaining to these numerous various entertaining injuries?

The mental pain is intense to be sure. I had 2 street bikes and one MX bike stolen from me. One street bike was recovered and after a fight with the insurance company it was restored to new. My first TL1000S was totalled in a head on collision with a drunk elderly man in his Cadillac STS.

That one gave me a concussion and soft tissue strain in my lower extremities. Broken collar bone at 4 years old but the brace I wore gave me great posture. Massive concussion at 6 years old hitting a tree while tobogganing, teachers were not very observant of where I went apparently. Both the rotator cuff strained in grade 9 showing off on the universal bench press. Both wrists badly hurt having to perform an emergency brake stab while going over backwards on my GSXR11 doing a wheelie, saved it though. Broken foot in boot camp in South Carolina, and also badly inflamed anterior hip ligaments during training. Massive concussion, separated shoulder, broken upper arm while pretending I was the space shuttle on my RM250 in the mid 90's. Snapped ACL and torn meniscus playing a baseball game. The ACL tear came 1 year after I hyperextended my knee twice in a two week period on motocross bikes.

So just the normal wear and tear.
