Sneaky sting, stung by stang pic.

meh, nothing new, for whatever reason i find american models age fast with repsect to their looks, they release these cheesy 6 cylinder versions that flood the streets and take away from the sportier V8 versions.

Where's the gravy train?

Not this^^^ I think the 6 cyl. street flooders add to the sportier V8 versions allure.

Was referring to the American models aging faster.
What looks cutting edge today, looks dated in a couple of years. Whereas I would still rock a 1983 911, or a 1990 Nissan 300, or a 1992 Accord, or almost any other import. But a 1993 'Stang? No thanks.

Oh, that's what you meant. I think America had an unfortunate stretch for a couple decades but I'll take a 55-57 stovebolt any day.

Now with a 4 cylinder turbo option, 310hp vs. 300hp for the V6. Also, new independent rear suspension as Standard!!! What is this, automotive technology "reinvented" by Apple?

http://www.autonews.com/article/201...eks-younger-mustang-buyers-with-tech-features

from that same article "The 2.3-liter EcoBoost is the first-ever four-cylinder engine in a Mustang."

did they miss 1974 to 1993? Even a turbo 4 cyl was an option in the early 80's fox body mustangs. Some people may even know about the special edition SVO's with a HO 2.3 (1984-1986)

Yep!

Mustangs had been ugly for decades, even when freshly remodeled. That ended when the retro version came along back whenever that was. The current model will be looking good forever.

+1 fourth gen was hideous, third gen... well it was the 80's. They nailed it with the fifth gen.

Did anybody mention that this is the golden age of American automobiles?

No, I don't think anybody mentioned that yet :p

You know we reached the golden age in American automobiles when the 2015 mustang finally comes to the table with a proper independent rear suspension. Welcome to 1990 Ford!

Now if only Chevy can dump the 1960s era transverse leaf spring and push rod engines in the latest corvette, we'll see some real progress.

Ya, the new Vette is a real dinosaur. I think it's coal fired.
