Kahuna going out of business sale starts June 17th

Not sure why everyone is hating on the sale apparently sight unseen. 50% off regular MSRP is generally pretty good. And if I could get away with rocking Triumph apparel on my Jap bike, I would have spent a ton on the 70% off Triumph stuff.

Instead I bought a Scorpion exo-500 for $100 to replace my six year old exo-1000 beater helmet. And $8 for some crummy looking Keiti rear spools. Worth the trip for me a couple of hours ago and I'd definitely recommend anyone who could use some new gear or parts to check it out. I imagine the best deals will be on the new Kawasakis though. Whatever may be left

It seemed to me that they were serious about clearing stuff out, but I guess there will always be the haters that won't give it a chance. I passed on the Arais that I looked at because they were all around 2 years old, but there were probably 100 other helmets there for under $200. I bet that pile has dwindled by now.

A friend of mine went by today and both 2013 ZX6R's in green are sold and with only the 2013 ZX6R in orange left (only speaking for ZX6R's and not any other models).

FYI They never made a 2013 ZX6R in orange, the candy burnt orange ZX6R came out in 2014

I might go check it out with my girlfriend to possibly buy her gear so we can two-up.

Off topic, I know, but I applaud your correct use of the conditional tense. I just face palm whenever I read "would of" typed everywhere.

And I'll go check Kahuna's sale before they close for good, BTW!

Everything is pretty much picked over.
If you want fluids though they've got lots left. Oil. Fork Oil. Brake fluid etc etc etc.

As with any clearance or liquidation sale the discounts will get larger as it nears the end.

Heres the latest update on the liquidation sale effective June 24th....now 60% off all remaining accessories.

Dropped in again to see what's left.
Any accessories without a sale price are discounted 60%.
The area where the service and parts department are located is empty.
The new bike sales showroom is about half full (incl bikes and accessories).
The new Honda bikes are all gone (picked up by the manufacturer) but as noted prior the Kawasaki bikes (about 20 or so) are still available for sale.
There are about a dozen used bikes but some still have the same sale tags / prices from earlier in the spring.
As for accessories, there are still some scorpion exo500 helmets for sale (at the same price of 99.99) as well as some bell and icon helmets (discounted 60%). No high end helmets (like shoei or arai though).
There is a table of leather biker boots (male and female) in smaller sizes that are going at 50.00 a pair.
They also have (biker?)running shoes (again the 60% discount). Also saw about a dozen or so biker gloves and a small pile of tires.
If Kawasaki takes back their new bikes there is really not much left.
The markup on Kawasaki product is around 16% plus frt/pdi.....so if your interested in a new bike it might be worth trying your best offer.

Does anyone know what the future will be with Kahuna? Will they reopen under new management? Will there still be a sevice dept. there?

I never had any issues with there sevice and they were the closest Kawi dealer for me. Disappointing to see another dealer close.
