Hell I got my bike for 5k. The seller wrote a bos for 1500 and when my dad took it to the teller for me to transfer owner ship the guy dropped it to 1000 sold. Must have been a biker himself to be that cool.
If you can't afford the $500 bucks tax on a bike, you shouldn't ought to be purchasing one.
Valid.
But also why pay if there is a way not to?
It worked for Greece for years and years :d
Same old same old.. Just waiting for the spring "didn't wave", threads to start ;-)

What about the insurance company when you file a claim on a stolen bike that you paid taxes on for $1 at the MTO?
Go find me wholesale and retail value books for motorcycles....go ahead...i'm waiting...thats right, there are none. The value portion is left blank, just like on older cars.
The worst that will happen is you and the seller will receive a letter in the mail asking to confirm the amount the vehicle was sold for. Toss it in the trash as it was not registered mail and there is no proof you ever received it. I've gotten that letter twice, once when buying and once when selling...."what letters?"
You got one re: a bike you bought? That doesn't make sense as you've already indicated the price you bought it for when @ the MTO.
I've gotten those letters twice. Once for a quad and another for a bike. Thrown all out and never heard boo.
quad/bike you bought or sold? I've gotten them many times, but only ever for something I sold.
