It's not that it's hot when you're in motion, it's hot when you're stop and go traffic. I think it's useless.

yep what Julz said. also, ditch the all black gear for summer. i wear a perforated leather jacket in summer. mostly white and a white helmet. made a world of difference.

I use a core cooler when it's very hot out.

Silver mesh jacket, good in 38 degree weather even on the highway when barely moving (and it gets a LOT hotter than that under those conditions)

That would get hot under the leathers.

Or over them for that matter.

How about instead of the leathers? I was wearing a mesh jacket and Draggin cargos.. Survived a crash with my skin and bones intact

My leather jacket & pants aren't perforated but I found that wearing my Nike Pro Combat stuff helped cool me when I started moving. I can imagine it'll be so much better when I get the perf'd stuff.

For $25, they'd be worth a test.

That's what I was thinking.
You track guys can get pretty overheated, good alternative to keeping cool without sacrificing your good thick leathers

Such a simple thing.
And potentially very effective.

It is one of those things that brings to mind "Why didn't I think of that?"

I would give it a try too.

While far more expensive than this product, I'm considering the Motoport Kevlar mesh gear. Compared to a high quality leather suit it appears to be similar in price but may provide more crash protection and also have the benefit of being cooler and more suited to touring/street riding than a full leather getup.

Wouldn\t work on track. Only safe way to wear the glove is with the gauntlet OVER the sleeve of the suit, leaving to spot to put the vent. However, for the street if you lived in a hot climate it'd be worth a shot. Prob work best with shorty style gloves.

that was my next question...how does it work with gauntlets?

you'd need ducting running all the way up past yoru shoulders to make a difference.

My jacket fits perfect over my wrist which i believe is the proper fit. Thus my gauntlet gloves go over easily. Interesting idea but I wouldn't be able to use it even if I wear shorty gloves.

Like someone said. When moving I never feel hot even with black leather.
Those compression baselayer plus perforated leather is way to go I think
