Any Shoei/Arai helmets on sale?

I bought a $99 Shoei from Kahuna few months ago, and I am loving it! So much better than HJC and other crappy brands, is there anything on sale recently I can buy at $99 again? or $199?

Thanks

I think GP has them on sale atm, but not for 99/199.

Not at that price. Don't sleep on HJC. Their RPHA 10 line is great.

agreed. I tried these on last week and it amazing how it felt. Don't let the HJC name fool you, this helmet is legit. I'm thinking of picking up a matte black in the RPHA 10's...and i'm a damn helmet snob.

Don't want to sound like a fan boy, but I agree with these guys, and I used to avoid HJC. I've worn an RPS-10 (predecessor to the RPHA-10 and largely identical) for three seasons. Comfortable, good quality, quiet (YMMV, I wear ear plugs), quick and easy visor swap, removable/replaceable cheek pads and liner, good ventilation, inexpensive replacement visors, some nice graphics, great value when compared with Arai or Shoei. Very happy with it, would buy another without hesitation.

Agreed. The Lorenzo replica is nice, too.

Keep in mind the replica graphics are over a hundred bucks more expensive than a generic graphic.

I don't know where you'll be able to find a Shoei or Arai that cheap. I bought my Shoei at GP bikes about 4-5 weeks ago, and it was on sale, about $100 off or so ( 17% IIRC). That was still about $450 though. I would be more than slightly hesitant if someone was selling a Shoei or Arai helmet that cheap.

if you're set on a Shoei or Arai, GP bikes has them a HST off sale. So there are some RF1100's in solid colours going for $399 out the door.

Brampton Power Sports had RF1100s on sale in August for $349.99 for the graphic options. That's the best price I've seen them without it being a clearance on old stock or discontinued models.

Motorcycle Gear is a good family-run outfit -- but unfortunately a US intermediary would be required for this deal -- "Please Note: We can ship Shoei products to addresses in the 50 US states only (per manufacturer’s restrictions)."

I didn't see the 'fine print' - good catch!!
I'm not in the market for a Shoei, but I'd have it delivered to US Address Inc if that's the case.
Then hit up Seneca Casino. Win. Win.

That's a close-out deal though, they prolly only have like XXXS or XXXL left. That there is an edge-case with what I said. If they had my size, I would buy one.

Click on the thing that says: "Select Item Here". Just above the "ADD TO CART" thing. They have most sizes.

MG (formerly called New Enough) is a completely legit dealer, I've bought gear from them many times. And they do have the Shoei Qwest on closeout in most sizes. Closeout doesn't mean only odd sizes; the models or helmet graphics that don't sell well, eventually get heavily discounted. You just have to be patient.

I've used them for an eBay purchase from a nice Southern man who wouldn't ship to Canada.

Thanks. Yes I just want solid colour, but $400 bucks still too much.... considering HJC cost... what like $120?? For the same materials and certification on the helmet, Shoei is still way overpriced...

You actually believe that a $120 helmet is the exact same thing as a $500 Arai or Shoei ? Just because helmets meet the same MINIMUM standards, doesn't mean that they offer the same TOTAL protection.

Weight, comfort, noise, aerodynamics.....everything adds up.

Besides, it's your head - are you REALLY going to put a price on protecting it ? Then again.......ah nevermind, this is coming from a guy that wants an S1000RR to commute to work, wants good riding roads but thinks the Forks is too far.

You either get it or you don't.
