I went and got my 1968 BSA 650 Lightning. After many years of marriage, she encouraged me to buy a new 1984 Harley Softail, the first of the "blockheads". I still own both bikes and try to keep them in perfect codtion.I still ride and I have over 102,000 miles on my Harley. My wife died in 2003, but I still remember how wonderfully she treated me. She was an Angel and now, she's probably watching over me as I ride.

She sounds like a great girl, sorry to hear about your loss.
If a man or woman does not inspire your dream and support them then get rid of them.
This assumes your dream is realistic i.e. you lose all the family's money trying to be a Poker Star on tv is not a real dream.

I never understood these guys who listen to their gf/wife and get rid of the bike just because their gf/wife doesn't like it...like grow some balls and say no and if she leaves you who cares you'll find someone else and at least you will still have the bike...the same goes for girls too.
As the title says "She better be worth it" and while he may be saying "Yes" now what about 10-20 years down the road. Unless there is a valid reason for a person dropping something they enjoy (Finances, family priorities) it shows that she is a control freak.
I hope he can live with "If I don't like it, you don't like it" forever.
BTW I had three bikes in the garage and my wife saw me looking at another. She said why don't you buy it. She's a keeper.

totally agree with you!! Why would you wanna be with someone who is trying to change you!
If he had a bike before they met why would she give him the ultimatum to get rid of it in order to get married? You knew what you were getting into before he proposed.
He should grow a pair and stand up for himself!
