Fido Casting Call

I find mini poodles to be very sweet, only met one that has snapping tendensies.

You can come see my lil guy anytime and I'm sure he will change your perception of small dogs.

I think he would try to eat my Lab. ;-)

It's kind of funny to see a big dog go all tense and run away from a little dog. But on the other hand, I feel bad for my dog's fears. My poor baby!

I think its the goldens.

I was curious so I tried to find some info. It depends on what kind of "attack" occured. Akita's and Husky's are up there, as are German Shepherds.

aren't labs the leading biter in stats?

or is that golden retrievers...

There are reported cases of Labs attacking and killing cats and toddlers. That goes with any breed. But it goes to show how we tend to stereotype breeds as having particular personalities and don't want to believe otherwise. The bad rap that Pitties are given is an excellent example of this.

I know, I feel so bad that they have to wear those muzzle things cause some people are so damn dumb.

might have missed it being over the internet, but that was a tongue in cheek comment... all dog breeds bite. some more than others, some with more damage. they're dogs, not rocket scientists.

My G. Shepherd and Rottweiler eat babies for breakfast

Exactly. But try explaining that to those people hell bent on killing off all pit mixes. :(

My favourite breed in the entire world is the British Bull Terrier with it's silly antics, "egghead" and triangle eyes. I've wanted one since I was a small child and first saw them at a dog show. However, with our ridiculous BSL laws, I don't doubt they'll also end up on the banned breed list in the near future. After all, the American Bull Terrier is banned. I expect them to also ban the British Bull Terrier. Pisses me off.

/rant.

Ok, will vote now.

Sorry, I have to agree with the law. I don't blame the dogs at all but there are too many jerks who want an aggressive dog. Even though you turn any dog bad, these people want the image of a pit bull or what not. So they ruined it for you other dig owners. Take it up with them, the a-hole owners don't blame us non dog owners for their actions.

If you were to ask me, let them own aggressive dogs but do what firearm owners have to go thru. A series of reference checks and an indication that they can properly train & control these dogs. After all they can be a dangerous weapon. Its true any dog can attack, but some are more genetically prone than others, after all they were not breed to cuddle on your lap.

I'd rather people need reference checks to have kids!

Some of 'em did not voluntarily "planned" to have kids, so that explains

As a matter of fact, they were bred to be family dogs. Hence the reason why they're called "nanny dogs." Aggression is actually trained into them. The same as "soft biting" is trained into Labrador Retrievers, just to provide a counter opposite.

I was addressing the fact where he mentioned "aggressive dogs" and "Pitbulls"
