I think we made it thru a long weekend without a huge trail of carnage on Ontario roads.

OPP will surely take credit. But yes, it's nice to not be greeted with a rash of RIP and GWS posts today.

i saw some bikes taking shelter under the underpasses from saturday afternoons rain dumping

Got caught in the worst of it at Islington and Hwy 7. Streets were actually flooded. Kept riding, just slower and steady. In Brampton it looked like there were some high winds at one point. Bags of garbage and crap everywhere. Spent part of Sunday cleaning all the mud and caked yuck out of my bike.

you mean it's the opp's fault for the crappy weather over the weekend?

No.. The weather had nothing to do with it.. OPP's safety blitz prevented the carnage

Now now CG don't rain on WingBoys parade ;)

Got caught in a torrential downpour, complete with lightning strikes all around me, coming home from the yard on Sunday. My water resistant gear stopped resisting water about 10min into the 45min commute, so I was completely soaked by the time I parked in the garage. Found out later that it was the leading edge of a nasty bit of monsoon that went marauding through the county, blowing down trees and ripping shingles from roofs.

saw no opp on way up to cottage country, was driving up to blue mountain on saturday, but on monday coming back, opp officers at every onramp, they didn't seem to mind me on my phone using a headset, i guess just going for seatbelts and blatant abusers of said electronic devices...
