Maple leafs 2010-11

Ok, so I got a free ticket to last nights game against the Bruins. Once again, the Leafs came through with another waste of time. The best part of the whole night is that some guy answered a trivia correctly and won the whole stadium a free hamburger at Harvie's. Just have to show your ticket at the restaurant and get a free burger. The ticket was worth $196.00, hope the burger is worth that ??? THE LEAFS SUCK !!! Why do I even bother...

Should of sold them outside the doors. Leaf fans are not that bright so you probably would of fetched $300 for those puppies.

i love it... so you got free tickets... you went.. then you complain about it...
so you're either really naive or retarded....

St Louis Blues are coming to town. The leafs gave them 2 players that could have been useful: Carlo Colaiacovo and Alex Steen.

Watch... the Leafs will trade Kadri.

Well, the way these two guys turned out when they were in Toronto, I'd give them away as well. Coliacovo always, always injured (he would throw a hip check and end up with a mild concussion, off for 4 weeks ....), Steen mediocre at best. Very underperforming.

LOL ... Looks like the Leafs almost replicated the juniors. Almost identical choke I heard. Yet, all the players feel good about the win ... for god's sake they lead 5:2!!! this is how bad it gets in Toronto. Players feeling good about performance like that!

I don't deny they were underperforming in Toronto, but why sell assets when they're low? They both had a decent season in St. Louis last year, and Toronto got nothing in return.

They were not assets to Toronto, but rather liabilities (especially for Coliacovo, it was like long time disability benefits ...). By shipping them out, they at least saved money, by not having to pay them in the future. Not they care or had have a cap problem ...

Naive or retarded I'm not. I guess freedom of speech gets critizied on this forum. In my opinion, if anyone attends a game, they somewhat have the right to complain about if they like. It's my belief that the MLSE have everybody somewhat brain washed that the Leafs is a good product. It's not, in my opinion, it's a business, it always was and will always be. I go to the games for that "night out" thing, but I do believe I have the right to complain about them as you have the right to complain about me, no matter how idiotic it may be, for you or me to complain about anything. Just my opinion, that's all. I know there are a lot of Leaf fans out there, face it. When the league expanded in '68, the Leafs have failed to be contenders for the cup. They were competitive with 5 other teams, now, "ice hockey" has nothing to do with The Toronto Maple Leafs. Think about who is really the naive one.

I know there are a lot of Leaf fans out there, ......

Yep, tons of them, but very very few actually pay their hard earned money for the tickets. It's mostly company seats and thus they become giveaways. Only possible in one town in the whole NHL, perhaps the whole world ....

When I got tickets from a friend, I didn't complain about it, but at the same time I am not sure I would drive 50 clicks and pay parking to see the product again. Probably not ....

Thats my point, "free" will still cost you big bucks. Parking, refreahments, and God forbid you would like to buy some kind of Leaf memorbilia, you have to drop half you paycheque.
Im going to Windsor to go visit a friend out there and he got us tickets to watch the Red Wings. $50. FIFTY BUCKS!!, which are equal to our golds here. Can you believe it, reasonably priced tickets. I didn't even think such a thing existed. I also here, there is free parking, FREE PARKING!! In Toronto, I would of been broke at this point.
I'll let you guys know how it turns out, if it is entertaining or not.

The parking might be free in Detroit but your car probably wont be there when you get back.

you KNOW that the leafs aren't playing well, and you were SHOCKED they lost? what were you hoping for?
Its a waste of time cause they suck?
you didn't know that?
you thought for some reason you would go and they would be like "vinster" is here tonight... so no messing around... this game is serious.

You make all these points that its a business and you have the right to complain...
but if you knew all this WHY DID YOU KEEP THE TICKETS AND GO?

This has nothing to do with the leafs... it can be applied to anything..
There is complaining because you didn't know... thats legitamite.. but you're complaining about what? thinks you already knew?

Who said I was SHOCKED ? All I was trying to say is that it is a poor product they are selling. I've been to games where the Leafs have lost but play amazing. You know, playing with "heart" not there "agent". That's the only point I'm trying to make. Hey, I'm a hugh Leaf fan and have been for a very long time. I remember the days of Nicaluk, Brofy, Burns(I know I spelled the names wrong) when players, played with heart and soul. It just doesn't seem that way anymore, maybe I'm just getting older and have less patience, who knows.
You asked, "Why did I go ?" I go to the games when I can because I like going out. I usally bring a friend and we make a night out of it. It's just that "going out thing", but I do give away more than I go.

The over all experience was fun, the Wings won in OT 6 -5. The Joe Louis Arena is ugly, the hot dogs were crap, and to my surprise the pizza was good. The beer cost $8.00 for a king can, which was good, but I expected all of this. For the price I paid, I got a good night out. The ACC is a much nicer arena and confortable to be in.
As far as parking goes, we didn't get free parking, but it was $3.00, THREE FREAK'N DOLLARS! I don't pay any less than $20.00 in Toronto, and we parked on the Canadian side. Yes, my vehicle was still there, LOL.
I would defenitly go again, but I'm so glad to be Canadian, they live in fear there, metal detectors and lots of security. I guess our time will come too for those measures.

die hard leaf fan here.. pretty much watch every game, yet I'v been to the ACC twice..

Tickets are so expensive and the crowd BLOWS! I sat in golds in november when they played an awesome game and crushed New Jersey.. I was the only one vocal in my section, sorounded by bums in suites who showed up late in the first period clearly sitting in company seats. Longest go leafs go chant I heard was like 20 seconds and most people wouldnt even stand up for a goal. I'm sure the nose bleeds are a little roudyer but honestly if you ask me, ACC is a ****** arena to go see the leafs at.

From what I can tell from tv, and personal experience, the best place to watch a Leaf game is in Buffalo, or Montreal.

Oh the humanity kessel picked last, the all star game what a gong show.

We need this guy to play.
