How did your ride go? The weather forcast says the Kingston area will be sunny on Sunday so we're reversing our original route and heading to the Adirondacks and New Hampshire and then circling our way back to NY PA and back home. The storm seems to have an eastward motion so hopefully by going 'against' it we will be under if for less of the time... if that makes sense?
Yeah Kingston is north of it but you are heading right into the big wet.
We have not left yet - we ride out early tomorrow hopefully 6am or earlier
I'd take stay in Canada and assess the situation when you go to turn south - there are fantastic roads N of Montreal

Once again torrential downpours and locally severe thunderstorms have erupted over the eastern third of the nation.
Some locations were hit with flash and urban flooding, while others were affected by damaging wind gusts and hail Friday afternoon and evening.
The storms have the potential to impact some major population centers from Florida to Massachusetts.
I'm planning the same thing. The weather might hold out.
I think I saw you at the border. I waved to some dude on a scooter. I aint got time for line ups l ike that. I turned around and took the scenic way back to Toronto
That was me - but I thought you were pretty close to the entry.
That was brutal - thought my legs were going to cramp up and kid admitted for once he wished he had my bike
His clutch hand was getting sore.
One note for anyone - keep the tank filled - stations are scarce and in many areas no cell coverage. Was getting pretty low when we hit Emporium - kid has larger tank so took off and played hooligan for a bit on 120 while I hypermiled with the mirrors even powered in. Turned out okay - had a fair bit left and could have made Coudersport but would have been tight.
Almost wish we were stiil out but 570 km with a killer border crossing - couple of good soakings, chilled along the south part of Lake Erie - well - happy to be stretched out.
Ended up not doing 862 as we needed fuel so came up 46 instead - nice sweeps which suited our mood.
Marginal meal in town....kid did better with his Philly cheese steak - my sirloin salad - well the sirloin had seen better days.
Good it tiring 13 hours. Late lunch at Yesterdays in Renovo was okay - decent burger.
So 862 tomorrow, that comes out at Wycoff Run and will take that on a long loop around back to Renovo from the south and then see how we feel. Maybe try and tuck 144 in that circuit on the way back.
ForeverMap worked well.....TomTom still a bit frustrating but we'll see when I try a set of unknown roads and ask it to do maximum windy's point to point.

Our arrival was rather dripping - Kenz was cold - not as much protection as the Burgman - it was chilly near Lake Erie. Glad to see a Timmies outpost to warm up and have a bagel.
Finally got to the Millstream with a late shower after not a bad ride for the last part of the trip down. There was a big tree down over the road - shades of Tropical Queensland - guys with chain saws maide quick work - must have come down just a few minutes ahead of our arrival as only a dozen cars or so ahead of us....been raining pretty hard - some of the rocky cliff parts had quite a bit of sharp stones and one large pumpkin sized boulder had bounced across the road and hit the guard rail on the other side. Some slaloming including a stray 2x4
Sun was on and off - the first part of 44 was pretty rough surface out of Coudersport - some stones from patches and on an off dry and wet so could not really push it.
Got much better later.
My shoulder was sore from the ride - throttle control sucked.
Local yokel made a fuss after he stopped in the middle of the highway gawking at some garage sale. Should have a good road rage video of that later. If I sent it to the local cops he be up for a reckless charge or worse.
Renovo is rust belt USA - but people all over - with the exception of the above - are usually very friendly.
Hotel eatery aptly named but fav for mcyclists - decent food
a tad on the Deer Hunter end of things
but kinda nice inside
and bright airy place to eat...hey they even made rootbeer floats.
Loaded up on Dr. Pepper and some munchies for the room which has fridge and microwave.
All in all a good day - hope for decent weather the next two.
For some reason my PA trips end up going home in the wet.
Gone pick one of these tomorrow....that last one goes some places I've not been....160 mile loop in the morning with mixed terrain might be nice.
