I think it's a 5 lb difference between the two.I wasn't very clear. I'm comparing the gsxr 600 and 750. Since it's virtually the same bike justdifferent engine.

I rode my friend's 675R and I would prefer that over the GSXR750 but I don't know how maintenance would be on it. Keep in mind the GSXR's seating position is the least aggressive so it's great for day long rides compared to the other ones.
if you decide to make the switch PM me about your 636, ive got a buddy looking for 1 in black or white.
A late model Kawasaki 636 should not "feel like a boat" when cornering. Get your tires and suspension set up! It makes ALL the difference.
buy a real bike...once you own a 1000cc you would never look at another 600 or 750 again...all they do is make noise(no power) you will have a smile on your face every time your out on your 1000, and you will blow by any 600,750 on the back wheel....and try td home and auto insurance...i pay $750 a year for a gixxer 1000.ive persuaded many of my friends to get 1000s and not one of them ever complained and look at 600s and 750s the same way i do...just my 2 cents
sonny is that you? lol
I don't think they've ever released a stock white 636?
Some guys have vinyl wrapped their 636 white though. Looks sexy af.

2013.the newer 636 bore on the ZX6r's come in white black and green. i believe its 2011 they brought back the 636.
Tires are PP2ct, 32F 34R.
When you say set the suspension, do you mean the sag?
:lmao:
I've found that 1000 is fun as hell to boot around town and on straight roads but once you hit the twisties they lose their fun. Much more fun to rev the **** out of a 600
I'm paying the exact same insurance premium as a 750cc and the 636 is hardly faster (if at all?) than a 599. It also feels like a boat when cornering whereas the '08 CBR600rr I rode felt really nimble and easy to throw into the corners.
Never rode a 750 before, not sure what to expect.
Is the power difference very noticeable? And how does the 750 handle?
636 is the 05-06 year. and the gsxr 750 I'm looking into is the 05 - 07, I'd maybe consider the 08 (next gen) too.
Edit: Also what about upgrading to the 675? Since it's in the same insurance bracket.
New ... or worn flat in the center ... or beat to crap ... or worn unevenly?
And the ride height. Less importantly, spring rates, compression and rebound damping settings, etc.
+1 I found the 750 to be the most fun. A definite difference from the 600's. For example, you don't need to drop a gear to get moving on the highway.
You're getting an upgrade, make it a significant one...
I'd get a 1000, but if it's absolutely unattainable, the 750 is significantly more powerful than a 636 or any 600. Noticeable improvement.
As for handling, maybe you just need to set the bike up. A few mm in geometry change makes for huge handling differences, just FYI.
ive been riding for 40yrs since i was 4....ive raced, did mx,for me the bike is a 1000 nothing less....ive had 600s-gamma500s and have raced many guys on 1000s with my little 600s and 500gammas...but for me theyre boring...ive been on a 1000 since 2001 and am biased.....i agree alot of posers out there...but i have racing in my blood...if you wanna buy a 600 like no other---i have one forsale that has 160hp...that will keep up with any 1000...but i have 20g into the 600 to get it this way...buy a 1000 for 5grand and ride/practise
160hp 600........:lmao: Tell us more!
Unless it's boosted, has nitrous, or it was dyno'd on a dreamometer2000 then it's possible.
NM he's banned. I'm always late to the party.
You missed the point of the OP. Will the recreational rider benefit from a 1000cc bike on the street? If you're just looking to brag about your "accomplishments" perhaps post your own thread.ive been riding for 40yrs since i was 4....ive raced, did mx,for me the bike is a 1000 nothing less....ive had 600s-gamma500s and have raced many guys on 1000s with my little 600s and 500gammas...but for me theyre boring...ive been on a 1000 since 2001 and am biased.....i agree alot of posers out there...but i have racing in my blood...if you wanna buy a 600 like no other---i have one forsale that has 160hp...that will keep up with any 1000...but i have 20g into the 600 to get it this way...buy a 1000 for 5grand and ride/practise
I think I remember the ad, it had nitro and a built engine.
