This is just a rant; I changed my rear tire literally 1 week ago on this day and woke up with 10PSI in the rear and saw a nice shiny object right in the middle of the tire. #@$(*&SXDLKSD

I've done some reading with regards to tire patching but SDFKJ#@$(*&#@$ ****!

/endrant

Get it patched properly, carry on. It only seems to happen on new tires for me,

Patched as in go to mechanic? I'm not mechanically inclined. A friend showed me some tire plug thing....makes me uneasy thinking about that.

I've had plug/patch put in at a shop a couple times, but now I have tire tools, so personally i'll give next one a shot.
The cheapo gooey strings the sell at canadian tire, i havent had great luck with.

Have a mushroom internal patch installed....

yeah, the kind of patch/plug combo that looks like a small umbrella, not one with a small "brim" like an arrow sign.
you'll have to take it to a shop to have the tire taken off the rim and the patch/plug combo applied from the INSIDE of the tire (the stem part sticks through the hole and is trimmed flush with the outside of the tire).

at patch like this, if installed properly, is perfectly safe and should last the life of the tire.

the one time it happened to me, it was on a brand new rear tire too.

You should stick that nozzle up your nose and plug the holes in your head.

I was waiting for you to show now.

Buy the string plug kit from CT or Walmart. Plug it and ride it to a mechanic to get it repaired. DONE!!

OP - this happened to my new tire just last week as well and I made the biggest fuss out of it too lol

But, it's now patched and strong. Just go to Rosey Toes. Ted works on tires himself personally.

CAA? Where is your bike? If you want me to come and fix it for ya I'll be there in a jiffy, doesn't matter where the bike is, I don't need power to seal and re-inflate the tire ;)
