Why the hell would someone want to put this on their Ninja 250?

Urban street fighter, looks sweet without the seat.. Too bad it's on a 250.... A guy I ride with has an R6 street fighter that looks absolutely insane.

I admire the radical design, and do kind-of like some aspects of it (front on view with gull-wing headlights).

But overall, it doesn't look right. I tend to like balance/symetry in design. It looks really odd with such a short tail/rear fender, and such a low, forward thrusting fairings. And I also feel he should have painted the kit of his promotional bike to match the gas tank, or vica versa. It doesn't look finished. Doesn't look like it 'belongs'.

I'm not hating on him or his work - I admire it. It's just not for me, and I'm trying to provide constructive input as to why.

It looks like somebody took a stock motorcycle and changed a bunch of stuff. That's always cool. That takes some talent. If that adds a bit of utility and/or user friendliness, performance enhanced and looks cool, a winning combo. Does this kit have that combo? Would Jay Leno put one in his garage? On the up side it's cheaper than a Confederate Hellcat.

I dunno. I think it's kinda neat.

I can't wrap my head around putting such a mean lookin thing on a 250 (not having the balls to match the scrot), but still, points for being unique.

I think this type of fighter style is very euro, no?

I think it's pretty novel and I admire the creativity. This guys keeps up the good work with easy to bolt-on kits and he's gonna do well. May I invest?

I think it's pretty cool. Not my type of thing but very creative. As for why the Ninja 250? Only reasons I can think of is because there's a ton of then out there and no one else does something like this on small bikes?

If it gets riders excited I'm all for it.

Though I don't particularly like the look myself, I'm sure it's got its audience, and good on the guy for taking his idea and making it reality...

I suspect most of the naysayers here couldn't spare the time to design, fabricate, assemble and show their obviously better ideas. Not with all the important inter-webbing stuff they got going on.... just saying..

Best of luck to the guy building it.

Sent the guy an email today as this looks interesting. If he has one I can see in person I might keep my 250 and do this mod and keep it as a little toy and then buy another bike to do more serious riding with.

I'd be curious to see what other plans he might have for other bikes in the future.

Anyone seen, anyone else doing kits like this to a 250 or other bikes? Besides the garage jobs and custom jobs.
