who rode into work today?! - 7/31/12

Rain's not too bad...I just grabbed a rain suit from the guys in the plant and voila...banana suit!

It ain't pretty but it keeps me dry! Except my *****...the seam split when I sat on the bike! LoL

careful, those melt against the hot parts pretty easy and that melted plastic is very hard to get off!

such a gorgeous day for a ride :) and I have a clean bike to show off!! :D

nope

Well I can't ride to work as the Burgman is not very good on stairs but heading out tonight for some work related stuff. :D
Yes the Metzler Feelfree are excellent in the wet. Still working on the tire pressure thing.

Try 34 front 36 rear.

Haha - love it! Everytime there is rain - there is a thread: "Who rode today?" :D
I don't remember rain day this year when I did not ride. What I enjoy the most is right after the rain - it's like someone gave the road good scrub and shower and it is all yours.

I rode this morning, but the Moto Limo had to take me home. My bike wouldn't start after sitting in the rain all day. SV650's have a weak point at the front cylinder.

You just need to install the rubber block off plate and your good otherwise the spark plug threads let water get in and you have those problems.

Rode to work and home with no issues. Had to drive my truck through good amounts of the storm (route delivery driver), but was just calming down as I got back to the yard. Free bike wash too :)

Rode in and out, forgetting my rain gear, but completely missed the storm and did not get a drop on me. :D

I rarely hit the traffic - bonus of flexible schedule and WFH but today I had to be in Mississauga after 3PM and got stacked on QEW in the middle of the storm (some accident ahead slowed everything down). Once I got there - rain was over and no water on the way home, just clean road. I like to ride in any conditions (except perhaps snow) - what really kills me in the rain is that looks like 99% of the drivers on the road slow down to the crawl, like it's their first time behind the wheel (of course same can be said about any other day in Toronto :D).

Rain feels like rocks at 140 :(

Clearly you are doing it wrong.... you have to go at 160 minimum so the rain wont hit you.. mythbusters say so! not me..

REVISITED: You end up drier running in the rain than walking. (From Episode 1)

CONFIRMED
When retrying the test in actual rain it was conclusively proven that the running test subject got less wet than the walking test subject. The use of artificial rain in the original test led to a false negative.

with that in mind, if the subject is on a motorcycle, the faster you go, the lest rain you hit, since is real rain and not artificial. which will equal you being "dryer".. since dryer means less drops on you that equal you not feeling rocks!

Edit: Or do I have it all wrong?
