If all you ever say is the sky is green and I don't want to spend my time hearing it then I'm not sure how that makes me fragile. I'm just saving time.
You always have the choice to skip over the post, i know after a couple of sentences in if it has what I consider value. If not i skip over it and on the the next post. By blocking people you might not have the full context of what the posts are
You're not getting my point. I've read enough of his stuff to know there is NOTHING of his I want to read. I've determined that, in my mind anyway this guy is an idiot. I'm not fragile just tired of his noodlehead blathering.

Well, you're usually the first to reply, react or comment, so I don't think you have.
How does it work? Does it prevent them from seeing any content you post, and vice versa? Posts, comment, and reactions? Or does it just block you from seeing them?
I assume they can see me? I don't know. If they update a thread, I don't get notification. If they post, I don't see it but there is a small link that says "Show ignored content". If I click that, I see everything. I don't know what happens if they react to a post. It is ignore, not block so I assume it basically mutes them for me unless I actively look at their posts.
I agree with ToSlow. I understand why people would ignore others, but I don't have a use for it. There's a few people I've found annoying, even offensive, but that's life. I don't give them much of my time. I'll quickly skim there comments, but for the most part, I use the "ignore" feature that's installed in my brain. 
I'm of the belief that it's okay to be offended, and offensive. It's hard to express an opinion without offending someone.
I could change my mind about using the Ignore feature, though, if someone was relentlessly posting annoying things, but it would have to be a lot, with nothing constructive in between. But I haven't see anything like that here before. In fact, I might be the person that annoys me the most.

I have never had an issue with anyone posting stuff I disagree with online, never get to a point where I need to block or ignore anyone. You could say the most outlandish things and I will just pass it on by. Enough in going on in the world, online posts anywhere just do not even register.
I've seen some blatant racist stuff spewed on here I couldn't look past. Ignored. Don't need to see anything from them.

Half the stuff I say on here is ignored, and a quarter is moderated and the rest I admit is just garbage! I tried to find a proper filter for my model online but they were special order!
