where to find Ninja 400r fairing or would a 650r fairing work ?

Sorry if I'm putting this in the wrong section.
My brother dropped my bike - ninja 400r - and now the right side is scratched up.
I have been looking online for places where I could get a fairing but the ninja 400r is a rare model.

Does anyone knows where I could get the fairing for my 400r, if not, would a 650r fairing work on it ?

Thank you

Holly Crap did he drop it on a hill slide?

@IXFe Nice bike!!!

Thanks Rob,
Well I just talked to snowcity and was informed that apparently the fairing of a 650 and 400 aren't interchangeable (I'm a bit skeptical about that). Anyway for me to change the entire right side of the fairing, it would cost $316.
I will try to find if I can find anyone who can repaint it (if its cheaper) otherwise, I'll order the fairing.
Guess next step is to install frame sliders.
What do you guys think of these ones ? http://www.satoracing.com/framesliders_ninja400.htm

I'm surprised they would say that the 2011 650 upper fairing is not interchangeable. I had the same bike last year and ordered 650 parts for it (on the left side). I dropped it a couple of times on the left side. Had I replaced the left upper fairing, I would've ordered from the 650 parts list because it would've fit my 400. The 650 right upper fairing falls into the same boat.

The 650R fairing should be identical (I have a 400R as well). It's the same bloody bike, even the engine is the same (the cylinders are sleeved). The only thing of note that appears to be different between the two is the transmission. But 99% of parts are a direct bolt-on.

$316 For the whole side fairing is cheap.
I paid 200$ for a tank cover, that's probably 1/4 the size of your fairing.
You can always get it painted but the paint won't be a 100% match and that bugs the hell out of me.
I'd just by the new fairing, price seems reasonable imo.

@short stop thanks for the tip!
@rich6969 Nah its actually a lowside
@Rob MacLennan nope, I went there tho

Ya that's what I thought too (giesen), the bike being the same should technically have the same fairing.
Thanks tho!

There was a black 400R in the lot yesterday, with rash on the right side lower, and it seemed a little co-incidental

haha :D. I've seen a few of them. There's another one around adelaide and church that has a medium crack. Hopefully this thread will be helpful to other 400r owners.

So modji, how did you finally fix the bike? I had my bike dropped bad as well and the left side fairing is done :-( including the mirror and clutch lever :-(

Did you buy a new one from the dealer or a 650 one? there are several on fiche sites around $ 250ish. Not sure if it would be wise to get that and then waste the $ 250?
