Where did you ride today?

Thought it would be nice to have a thread for this. I rode North to Kaladar and had lunch then made my way East eventually hitting Kingston on the way down. It was a nice back roads trip.

Rode to work.
Rode home.
Today was a good day.

Guelph to Rockwood to Erin to Bellfountain... Met fellow GTAM forum member MacDoc who is a really nice guy and gentleman. I even got to ride his sweet Honda CBF1000 which is such a nicely sorted out bike. Honda made a real gem with this bike. :)

Enjoyed the day at the Forks but forgot my hat. Zoodles was good company. Didn't get wet and tested some long trip set up.

The CBF1000 would be an excellent transition from his CB750 - figured he should see if I was correct. :D

I rode to work, rode home and waited for an update about The Forks. A+ ride and wait. Will wait again.

Took the back roads to Port Dover. I can't be any more specific than that. The only main roads are Hwy24 and 6. So I cut a pretty wide swath. Of course I didn't go on every back road. That would be silly. I went thru Six Nations. I can't name them all. They certainly weren't noted on any signage. Heck, some of the roads weren't even signed. There was no scenic route thru "Six Nations" lol, unless armageddon is scenic to you. Then it's pretty much all scenic route. And smoke shops. But I digress.
Line up at Dover Timmies was longer than anticipated. I would have thought PD Thursday 12 be slim pickins. Not so. Got a black and a carrot muffin. Tried to stare down some bikers. Not easy to do when holding a carrot muffin.
Hit the lake shore going west. Cooled off considerably. Thought "I don't need to do this". Zig zagged back north to Paris for another joe. Paris is nice this time of year. Almost got creamed by an SUV coming out of the No Frills. Saw that coming a mile (1.6km) away.
I did all this sans intercom or GPS. Old's cool.

I am riding to Port Dover tomorrow too! But this is my first time.
A quick google search shows that there are only 3 gas stations at Port Dover.
Should I expect a very long line up for gas tomorrow?
Thanks in advance!

The one across from Angelos bar? Pumps are out of commission. The one just up the road on the left (going west) is pay inside only. If you don't mind waiting 6 deep while an old local does their lottery/retirement planning that should be no problem. I didn't see a third one because I hit Radical Rd right after fuelling up. I'm sure it's there tho, google's pretty legit. Be a mensch, fill up before or after you hit town.

Me and the wife went out to Newcastle and back. Still small trips for her, 30-40K radius, but she's doing awesome...will be ready for a bigger bike earlier than I think I originally anticipated. ;)

I will be riding to Port Dover tomorrow.

Ditto.

Nowhere fast :( Got some riding in yesterday. Hoping for tomorrow and the weekend.

From the end of the driveway, back into the garage. :sad11:

Testing the friction zone, after new friction plates and springs. Managed to squeeze in the job before dinner. :p
1/2 turn of the handlebar clutch adjuster and it was perfect.

Too bad the weather doesn't look like it will cooperate this weekend.

How the **** could you get lost in S Ontario anyway ....you are bound to hit some lake or a 400 series HWY :D

and it's flat....the CN tower is visible forever away.- just think of it as your sun dial for navigating

I looked out my window and couldn't see the CN tower. Something about a round earth and a horizon comes to mind. No 400 series, for a long time if I head west, about an hour going south. A little further north and there aren't any North or East either. Edit: I just keep in mind that water is North, and the Sun rises in the East and sets in the West.
