about a month ago my scala went to *%^& ... the buttons on the top started failing and the only button that worked was the up volume...Up to the Forks for coffee and sandwich and back and found my Scala is missing a channelNice day otherwise.
be really gentle with it, mine was only 2 years old n now its uselessSaturday I was supposed to go on a nice group ride with some riders from here...but then my buddy called and I got to fly this instead...it wasn't a chance I could give up! And let me tell you...it was fun like hell! Scary as there's ZERO electricals on this thing...but what a rush it was...I could see straight roads all over the Guelph area

Last night I took a ride down to Townsend with the gf...cool little town but not much going on. And wow did it cool off fast! LoL Great night for a cruise though.
407 to Markham and back - amazing how many laptops fit in the Burgman

Van was in the US - clients crying for machines....wasn't bad - new windscreen that's a few inches wider was nice tho my Scala has lost a channel for no good reason so GPS and phone too hard to hear.
Last time around with Scala if this persists.

Early morning slab to Mosport. Did the track parade on the new BMW scoot C600S - that was cool treat tho no pace at all. Still was interesting to ride the track.
Fell off a GS650 twice in the sand on the practice hill but did fine on the trails - forgot how to use a clutch there for a few minutes. It's shorter than my KLR but it's wider and was road geared so no plodding - thought it was going to be a solution but too wide and heavy still.
Demo drove the other BMW scoot the GT650 and I'd keep that. Best adjustable windscreen ever - lead was on a 1300 and I was second in line and the 650 hung in up to 120 - he'd noticed the same thing when he test drove it.
Bit buzzy shuddery pulling away but roll and go beyond that.....I'm 5' 9" and barely fit on so may have some limits there.
Cruised the back roads back home across the top of the city and missed traffic...nice quick run on the Grange and Forks - coffee and sandwich for a very late lunch and home on fumes. 300k or so. Lovely and interesting day,

I went on a 4 hour ride today.. went to forks and then to hockley rd.. it was my first time on hockley and it was fun, a lot better than forks. Though on my way to forks I decided to take The Grange Side Rd to Mississauga Rd and that was a fun experience (I didnt know it becomes a gravel/dirt road).
I almost got run over on Grange Rd at the sharp left turn leading to a steep climb, by a tow truck towing a car. Just as I started turning left the tow truck came into view, I pulled in the clutch, moved to the right side and had to drift a little to avoid my rear getting hit or going into the ditch. It was sickk, I basically did a 90 degrees turn to avoid going into the ditch/trees without even thinking about it (exact spot is linked below). I was lucky that the road is covered in rocks allowing my rear wheel to slide. I never went higher than 30 km/h and I think it was a 60 km/h road. If you decide to go then be careful .. its covered in rocks and has a couple of spots where you cant see far enough in front for oncoming cars (its a wide single lane road with the middle having the least amount of rocks).

Next time you're in that area, if you haven't already done so, check out Terra Cotta (Winston Churchill, to King, to Mississauga Rd. north toward Belfountain) and the Cheltenham Badlands.

Took a drive out to the Fork's this afternoon. Saw a fair number of bikes on the way there and back. Didn't get to enjoy the Fork's though, it was packed with ppl and cars. The traffic there was at a crawl and there were cops all over the place, definitely not for the speeders.
The roads there and back were good, the traffic was light, temp was decent.
