What to expect when attending CBSK race day

As the title suggests a friend and I are going to attend the CBSK Race at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park on Sunday the 9th. We have other commitments and can’t do the full weekend. I don’t really know what to expect or what to bring. The Sunday ticket is just General admission (with paddock access).

Does that mean we can just find spots in the grandstand or other seating areas?
Do I bring a camp chair to sit?
Is it like a tailgating situation where I should bring some food and a cooler with a few beers?
I’m bringing some sun protection because I’ll be outdoors all day. I may throw my riding gear in the trunk of the car because there may be some demo bikes, though I can’t tell if there’s a way to sign up for that in advance.
Anything else I should know?

Sorry if these are all dumb questions - I really have no idea.

I haven't been to CBSK. I went to VRRA at CTMP. I walked around a lot and watched from various places. I didn't bother with a chair as I didn't want to carry it. Sitting on the ground works for me. My favorite spot was near turn 3 where you can see turns one, two and three. Corner 5 was interesting for a few minutes but it mostly seemed to be about survival for the riders (even awesome ones like Szoke) and I didn't see people trying to make moves there. Don't bother walking around the path along the back straight. Almost nothing to see back there. Wear comfortable shoes. I walked 30,000 steps that day as I was watching from everywhere.

I was camping so I had a cooler. There was a food truck with typical burgers, fries, etc.

Binoculars aren't a bad idea. I carried a camelbak so I didn't have to worry about being dehydrated nor have pockets stuffed with sunscreen and snacks.

As I wasn't clear, I preferred vantage points outside of the track. Inside of 1 isn't bad but imo, it's not as good as outside of 3 (near the last r in Quebec Corner in the track map above).

I`ve been going to Mosport/CTMP since `71. What to possibly expect....heat, wind, rain or sun, I`ve seen all in an afternoon, and a lot of walking. Even flurries on May weekends.. you`ll be OK though. Be prepared for it all. Don`t eat heavy, light sammiches, PBJ/PB and honey keep you going, grapes/bananas are good too...and lots of water. ..lots. Corners 9-10 are good viewing spots as is the bridge over the pit straight. My fave is the outside of 2, one of racings all time arse puckering corners. If you`re walking the paddock keep your head up and eyes on what`s going on, give any riders moving the right of way. Have a good time.

On CSBK weekend there's good concessions at the inside of turn 2 and the outside of T3. T2 is a great place to watch as you see a lot and you get a good sense of speed. I also like the outside of T9/10 as you can see them come down the straight into 8 and then onto the front straight, with lots of moves made in that section.

Bring a lightweight camping chair if you want, cooler etc is a good plan too. There's also VIP tickets with access to the patio over the front straight out of T10 - and I believe that has food etc.


I also like wandering the paddock as there's lots to see in there, and the fan zone is coming back to life in the last year or two. Enjoy dude!

The YouTube live stream was pretty cool. Could you @ CSBK show a drone footage for one entire full lap. Also name of riders with photos at the beginning of each any every race for all of the different race categories. This will great exposure for rider, team and sponsers
