Unless the jacket and pants are a matching set ,,,you will more then likely have to replace the zipper.

What are you going to do with a leather pan zipped to your jacket?

What is a leather pan used for?
Where do you get a leather pan?

It's new motoGP race derived tech... Leather pans are pieces of leather shaped like a pan because pans can absorb heat (think frying pan).. so they work well when you're dragging knees - absorbs heat and thus makes you faster around the corner.. then you can take them off and put them on your tyres as tyre warmers.

Any of the 360 degree zip pants. Or any pants with a new zipper (like the Bickle man himself stated).

Should mate up with the Track, A-10 Sport leather/textile, GP Plus, etc.

Okay, I go through this almost daily. Lets forget the zipper for now. If you have a jacket with a waist circumferance of lets say 40 inches,,, the pants you get have to be 40 inches! You can not match a 40 inch jacket zipper to a 34 inch pant zipper. So unless they match up within 2 inches you need to spend some money.
Now the zippers,,,, highly unikely the jacket zipper will match up to the pant zipper or vice versa if they are different makes. Once in 20 years have I ever seen it happen.

IT has nothing to do with the zippers. There are so many kinds of zippers and dimensions it is impossible to match.
As far as the alterations,,, the hard part will be finding someone that can do them for less than a mortgage payment.
I put zippers in all the time. But if the jacket is bigger then the pants ,,it's a ton of work depending the style of jacket.
If the pants are within an inch or two you can usually do it.
