What do you think of these Helmets?

Not sure if I said this before, but I have every intention of getting and using a full face bucket for highway or extended rides. I actually already own one, I'm going to replace with a newer one.

The half face is just for showing off, maybe commuting in slow traffic, or a weekend run around town.

I want it for the same reason you ride. because it looks cool. I'm not ashamed to admit it. If you are of the belief that full face 24/7 is the only way to go, I respect your decision too.

There are other reasons to not always be wearing a full face. I do have to ask though, although I haven't read every last post so apologies up front - what style of bike do you ride. I have both a cruiser & sport(ish).

I will say that although the half-bucket on the cruiser works, on the VFR it sucks BIG TIME! Anything flying around or suspended in air seems to be sucked into the vortex which leads directing into your unprotected skin. I was absolutely surprised by how unappealing it became after only a few minutes - cruising along the Lakeshore or grabbing a quick run on the QEW.

And some of us actually look "Cooler" in a full-face (although it's not as cool).

You wanted opinion, mine is that the fashion of these helmets are at the cost of safety.

So with a helmet like you linked, right off the bat you've tossed out protection from the two most likely injury areas.

And bugs in the face suck.
I have crashed in the 6.4 percent area, 15.2% area and 6.1% area lol

What's at the top?

What looks cool today is going to look laughable tomorrow. Looking cool is appearance, always changing dpending on style shifts in popular views. Basically, what looks cool is dictated by the majority of people... popular view of... strangers...

I ride because the way it feels (not the way it looks) and how that particular feeling fits within my particular 'human experience'.

And because it gets me a lot of chicks, that also is true...

Went out and got a full face today from Studio Cycle Group. I recommend anyone in the west end go check them out. great selection of premium stuff, (not a lot under $200) and friendly knowledgable staff, also gave me a pretty decent discount. (most places they usually can)

Still going to keep an eye out for an open face that fits my head (they didn't have the right sizes in stock)

Bought an RPHA 10, love it, light and snug. intermediate price (just under $400 taxes in) and track level functionality. Matte Black.

now everyone leave me alone haha.
