What did you do in your garage today..?

It’s actually too short for the Maverick and Odyssey.

Difference is that Maverick has an exposed continuous seam so there’s somewhere to lift.

Odyssey has cutouts for lift points so I’d need a raise to lift those spots specifically but perpendicular may work.

Maverick is mostly weight in the front so I keep the forward primarily lifted, and a few jack stands behind it…just in case.
Don't qj come with raised towers you can use? Or are the lift points too far apart to use the towers?

No raised towers. Just the standard rubber blocks which are flat and too large to mate with the jack points.

Hockey pucks would work. I'll pick up some lift pucks and try the perpendicular method.

It was the driveway but trailer upgrade. Old tongue was nasty since purchase. New tongue and installed Jack. Went from 4 foot to 5 foot. Two 3/4 bolts a rear needed grinding off otherwise not to much swearing. Anyone wants the old 2 inch ball 3 inch wide coupler with bolts and washers for free.

Where did you get the new tongue? I've been thinking about doing the same on mine.

Disconnected my battery maintainer and connected my battery voltage monitor to the battery pigtails.

I should have done that a month ago to see what the voltage drop is every week, That is an indication of the battery self-discharge and capacity.

Nicely done.

In my case, I have to drive on some 2 x 6 strips just to get the QuickJack under the rocker panels.

'Nice sunny day with a few free hours to kill, why not go for a little scoot..?
Get all suited up, get onto the FJR, turn the key and hit the start button...
Whir... Whir... whir... whir...

Well damn... wouldn't you know it. My ten year old Original battery decide to choose today to run out of magic smoke and begin pining for the fjords.
So, 'off to Kelly's for a new box of magic smoke..!

'Tight fit, but only took a few minutes to get the new on in there... 'Fire'd up nice afterwards :)

Got rid of the ridiculous John Deere "Easy Change" oil filter system on my riding lawn mower. Goodbye $75 filter, hello actually being able to change ALL the oil out of it, not just half, and for a heck of a lot less than $75!
Do better John Deere.

I have learned my lesson....set bike outside, fire it up...then gear up.

Scrambler left me many a time all geared up, only to hear the starter going crazy with the battery dead...

Great suggestion, but the area that is allowable for lifting on the Odyssey is about a 2"x2" opening in the plastic...so would need something way smaller of a foot print.

I did this as well. Had no idea the kit existed until my second filter purchase and I commented how annoyingly expensive the filters are and how crummy the system is while at the parts desk.

Did an oil change on the bike. First one that I did hurriedly in the late fall didn’t take. The new oil filter then had two o rings on it which I didn’t notice at the time. After leaking a long streak of oil down my driveway and along the road, I had low oil pressure. Once I put down some zorball, replaced the filter and refilled the oil, things were fine.
