Theft is a potential problem, but I can tell you that most every pickup at the head of dirt bike trails has a ramp sitting in the bed. But it would suck finding yourself without a ramp in a spot where you need one.

I'm thinking more in a Walmart / CT parking lot...you know...to blend in.

The ramp trailer I pull for work has this kind of chicken wire (but thicker and stronger) covering over the ramp. Might be a bit thinner, sturdier and offer more grip than plywood, not sure what it's called:

Yeah, I just meant that up there, there are lots of places to steal ramps and it doesn't seem to happen too much.

I'm not sure where you're thinking of staging your rides, but depending on the weekend, you could park your truck at my place and go from there. I'm not too far from Casinorama. Monck Rd is close which is a popular route to the Kawarthas. Southwood Rd and Muskoka are easily accessible by Highway 11.

Expanded metal. It's great stuff for grip. Don't fall on it as it's also a good cheese grater. Almost no waste when being manufactured.

I got a couple of these from PA. Screw them to a 2X10 or 12 and you have a ramp. Works great for my lawn tractor. I always back up to a hill or a ditch somewhere to reduce slope. You could screw some expanded metal to your planks for traction.

The DragWing finally got it's "livery".

The this is leftover fabric from my GayZed 650. The fabric is gay in the original sense of the word and sense K and Gay rhyme, hence the name.
Sadly no part of GoldWing rhymes with gay but the fabric is certainly bold so I'm toying with BoldWing.....just not the same panache.
