Day 31.
I totally forgot about Brian Adam’s, he was huge in the UK. I’d like to add Stompin’ Tom to the list. He gave back all his Juno Awards in the 80’s when they started giving them out to artists that hadn’t lived in Canada for years. I had the pleasure to have seen him at Massey Hall in the early 90’s, a real Canadian legend.

Absolutely one of my favorite bands ever and a great video. I saw them at the CNE Stadium right around when this video was made. Joe Strummer still had the same crazy haircut he has in this video. The most memorable show I’ve ever seen, not the best musicians but they had a real positive energy that you just can’t fake. That song and video’s message still resonates today,especially with what’s going on in the Middle East. The more things change, the more they stay the same.They use to call themselves “the only band that really matters” and for a very short time they were.

Inspired by another thread on the forum.... always a good revisit.
Something for this day and age.......
KEXP has done a lot to help many previously unknown artists and has some amazing sessions. The Lumineers did a wonderful set before they made it big ("Ain't Nobody's Problem But My Own" and "Boots Of Spanish Leather" covers as well as "Submarines" are excellent examples).
Don't do it.
