Saw the massively underrated Trews play at the Festival of Friends in Hamilton recently (awesome show, great live band), and Dave Rave made a guest appearance. Needless to say, it went over a treat with the locals and got an even bigger reaction than the Trews spot-on cover of Girls Just Want to Have Fun...
 
my fav folk artist, same nearly the same age as me and we sort of went through the stages of life in parallel. Amazing writer ...he was called "the folksingers folksinger".
Amazon gave me three free months of unlimited and using them to access his albums....for reasons unknown Alexa cannot connect with him when I ask but I can get the music in the app. :unsure:
Eric Andersen is a prolific American folk singer-songwriter from the 1960s Greenwich Village scene, known for his poetic style and songs like "Violets of Dawn" and "Thirsty Boots". Born in 1943, he released over 25 albums, with notable works including his 1972 commercial breakthrough Blue River. His songs have been covered by numerous artists, including Bob Dylan, Linda Ronstadt, and the Grateful Dead, and his career also includes co-writing with Lou Reed and living in Norway for over two decades
