Wellnuts

Try the Papco book at your local Napa or PartSource store.

i'd try brafasco, fastenal, bolts plus..

then get back to me on which actual stores are willing to help us out ! :)

Any decent motorcycle shop should have windscreen wellnuts on the shelf. Think they're 5mm and/or mm. Any different size I can't offer advice above and beyone whats already been said.

Duh! What am I thinking? I used to work at Napa. I think they can order direct from Spaenaur, though you'll need to find a patient and sympathetic counter guy, as the well nuts will be special order items. Help him out by supplying the specific part numbers.

They're metric so you're gonna need a speciality store, or Riders Choice...
10 for 8.99+ tax with bolts and plastic washers...
My 3+ year old ones were in desperate need of replacing.

What size M5? M6?

Riders Choice has bolt kits for about $10 that include 10 bolts and wellnuts in M5....Thats a good deal considering dealers charge between and $2-4 each just for one wellnut

I have a few for windshields, if you live close by i could probably drop some off. They're not OEM some Chinese ones from China but still works well.

There are a few metric, bike sized wellnuts in both the 'sportbike bolt kit' and 'sportbike specialty kit' found at Kahuna, and other shops.

Handy if you need other bits now and then, too expensive if you really only need the one.

I had to go to Kitchener so I stopped into Spaenaur and they have a retail counter at the east side of the building. I needed a couple of wellnuts for ¼ bolts but the short ones I wanted were on back order. I settled for longer ones which will do the job. They don't have a minimum charge (like Brafasco) so it was $3.XX for the two bolts and two wellnuts.
There was another customer at the counter who saw them and said he had a hard time with them on his Harley windscreen. I'm using them for a dirtbike fender/sidepanel and that's why they are a larger size than the small windscreen jobs. I guess their lack of availability may be a reflection on how useless they are.
