A few years ago i got a deal on a vstrom that I couldn’t pass on. Never planned to keep the bike, but after a few rides it became my fave.

A Madstad adjustable windshield makes a huge difference in wind protection, the OE hand protectors used on the EXP are also great wind protection.

I've a Givi windscreen, it helped a lot, and the factory handguards. But the wind still blows to the sides and over the bars quite a bit.
Plus the bike is so light and the higher stance makes it sail like, which a lot of people mention on StromTrooper.

I've spent a lot of money over many years, adding and modifying to make the bike I was riding at the time do everything I wanted to do at the time. It's been fun, expensive and futile. Now in my 80th year, I've finally decided that I'm locked in on touring.
