Weird Amazon Delivery issue

Hey all, just curious if any of you had an issue like this.

I ordered an oversized product which was delivered by UPS. The product packaging was damaged enough I didn't want to deal with possible broken product. I never opened it. Connected with Amazon customer support and they said keep it no charge and we'll send you a replacement. Great.

Replacement gets out for delivery, and is sent to someplace in Ajax?! (I'm in Toronto)
Connect with Amazon again, they send another replacement, this time it ends up in Guelph???!

To add to everything, I was delivered another package with my address, wrong name. No idea what the package is.
(it's not anything close to the size of the item I ordered).

Going to call in again and see what's up. I'm sure its a UPS thing. Not sure how much further I will take it, if this keeps happening.

Other than not getting your package yet it sounds rather win-win. You have a spare damaged one and now you have a fun mystery box. Enjoy the free gifts while you wait for your package.

Is the item being shipped by Amazon or by the seller?

Shipped by Amazon, apparently has to be by UPS, because it's oversized.
I did ask if they could use another shipper, not possible. Also for them to make sure it's shipped to the correct address... here we are.

Update:

Called in again, annnnnd got a complete idiot on the phone. I'm usually nice to start off. But this agent was a complete douche from the get go. Kept over talking when I tried to respond, no courtesy etc, only option was refund and I could purchase again. They even told me I could buy something at a local store, and just use Googlemaps to find something. Wow!
I just hung up.

Honestly surprised to hear they're giving you trouble. I'm not exactly Amazon's biggest fan, but I would have just assumed they would have something like this figured out and locked down

Agree, it's really odd. Which is why I suspect it's UPS fault. I know yesterday it was snowing a bit. Kinda feel like they didn't want to deal with it.
Same with the mystery package. I was actually outside cleaning up the driveway when the driver approached me with the package. I refused it... and well it turn up back at my house the next day when I wasn't around. Again UPS.
I even told Amazon about the mystery package, no interest.
Hopefully it's something useful.

I know someone who ordered a dining room table and it came in damaged. The deal is you buy another one and get credit for the first one upon return. Then they got the wrong colour then something else and wrong again etc.

By the time she had the right thing (Five tries) and charges and credits were balanced out they had paid her to buy the table. She pointed out the errors but they said their books were right. OK by her.

My Amazon shipping problem is wanting to order some paints and glues. They won't / can't ship to my PO box and won't / can't ship to my house. PITA getting an answer.

Re sburns original problem, as long as you can't later be charged for the stuff, enjoy. While it goes against the normal grain of returning for credit, if a big screen TV arrives with a spear through it, it is going to the dump upon return so why pay the return freight.

The manufactured cost on a lot of items is so low that freight and handling is more.

Ok Monty Hall I'll take the box! Let's see what I got!

Annnd we have a bed frame.

So this get's a little more weird. The item I did order was a bed frame, not like this though.

I haven't opened the box with the damage, it could have been fine. But with me I have no tolerance for this kind of stuff, if the box is damaged the product is damaged in my mind and I don't want to deal with it, specifically a large item and something which would be used constantly.

I think I donate this, clear my karma.
