Wasaga Beach - The Strip is closed

Was at Wasaga Beach on Saturday and the strip that runs along the main beach is covered over with sand so all vehicle access is prohibited.
Parking lots were open.

Pure stupidity, how is that going to stop people walking from on the beach? How am I going to catch Covid-19 if I ride my car/bike through the strip?

Was the water just high? I've seen the bay so high, that strip was the shore line.

Well WTF am I gonna do now? Plan was to take the Odyssey and impress all the single moms while I cruise up and down...frak. Guess I'll take the wife somewhere then.

Local said the high water and storm surges pushed the sand onto the road. Three were people enjoying the beach but no large crowds. The parking lots were pretty much empty
